Absolutely loved staying here. Room was very clean, cosy and had everything in that we required.Service was fantastic. Very polite and helpful.Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to perfection. Lots of choice from fruit, cereals to hot food. The location is also very beautiful. Ideal for walks.Car parking is not a problem.

Very nice place, close to the store, not far from the lake, a nice place to walk. Peace and quiet. Very nice service, tasty food, clean rooms, well stocked (coffee, tea, water) the only minus is the uncomfortable mattress. I recommend.

Where to start!!The Good:Dog friendlyBig roomBig comfortable bedThe not so good :As we arrived after 5, we're given a code to get in, expected a security door, no, the reception sign tells you its around the corner up the wooden ramp, but there are no wooden ramps!! Had to get the help of 2 other guests to find it. Eventually found a small key box on the side of a white door. Our room key was in an envelope with the name spelt wrong. The room smelt old and musty, no windows open, and 2 not very nice or effective diffusers (I know its a very old building but)The floor boards rise and fall towards the back of the room, and creak everytime they are walked on.The dressing table had 2 very large cracks in the mirrors top.The kettle was as cheap as you can getVery odd range of ornaments, a clock that didn't work, an oil filled radiator with no plug sockets free to use.Exposed pipe work in the bathroom, a wicker chair and plastic plant acting as dust collectors. The breakfast was interesting , a poor choice of cereal or fruit or yoghurt, and orange juice. The cooked offering had some odd options, full english, veggie option etc, opted for the crumpets with chesse, very uninspiring, 2 crumpets with melted chesse on top!, wife asked for the thick cut toasted doorstops, to be told they don't do that anymore, so had to have 2 slices of normal toast. This advertises it self as a boutique B&B, it is far from it.

Great place to stay not far off the M6 in a lovely country village. The manager was really accommodating and answered all our questions with great knowledge, even knew the history of the building.Fantastic value for money with characterful and clean rooms, and a wide selection of breakfast choices.

We stayed here as we had a meal with friends just up the road. Room was nice with a large well decorated bathroom. Staff were very friendly and we had a great breakfast. The shop across the road is well stocked. Just a bit of a shame the cafe/bar doesn't open a bit later into the evening but I understand there might not be the demand for it.

We had Sunday dinner here and it was perfect. The staff were really good, the atmosphere warm and friendly. The menu choice was varied, the food well cooked and served.

Nice place. Nice location. Good service. Good breakfast. Only negative is rooms are a bit dated and shower is electric and is terrible.
