The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because of the friendly member of staff who served me on Friday.On entering the store, he was friendly and asked what type of mattress I was looking for. I said a small double, to which he replied 4ft 6"

Super customer service here. Great choices. Bought my divan in faux suede orange. Sofa made to order - fun choosing colours with the member of staff today whose enthusiasm was infectious. Good sale prices!

We met Mike on arrival who was very informative and knowledgeable on all pieces in the showroom and showed us a range of items from their cheapest to their dearest telling us the pros and cons of each piece in regards to what we needed it for. He listened to us and only showed us the pieces that fit our needs unlike some other places we had visited. Our drawers were delivered this morning promptly and professionally, great delivery driver who was friendly. The best part? It came fully assembled AND at a competitive price.Go to elegant homes. You won't be disappointed!

Me and my fiance went to elegant homes to buy furniture for our first house together, we bought a Dining table and 2 chairs, a reclining sofa, bed frame and mattress. Within 3 months the sofa mechanism broke and the mattress went from soft to lumpy and uncomfortable. We called about the sofa and was told he will sort a replacement mechanism for us, a few months past and we heard nothing, so I called and spoke to him and he was polite to start with then started to sound teasy. He said he would call me back in a week to discuss replacement. A week went past and heard nothing so I thought I'd give him time and still heard nothing for a month, I had to chase him again to be told he can't remember and it's all water under the bridge it was me chasing home for 2 YEARS to receive a sofa which was £100 cheaper than the leather saddle stitched sofa we bought initially, also it had tears In the faux leather which had been drawn over with black sharpie to hide the tears, after 1 week the leather was pealing and now it looked like it had a fight with a hedgehog (he said it was real leather). If I could give a 0 star I would. The owner is a salesman and nothing else, do not trust him and please do not buy from the store. He will rip you off and be rude to your face. It was our first house together and we wasted £1500 on terrible furniture.

We ordered a small chest of drawers from here. When we placed the order, the gentleman told us it would be delivered for free within the next week. We waited for a week and heard nothing. I called back and there person I spoke to was unable to find the invoice or any record of the order. He said he would call us back asap. Three days later we had heard nothing. I called again. Again, the person I spoke to could not find the invoice or details of the order. I pointed out to him that it was now three weeks since we had placed the order, and that on our part of the receipt it clearly gave a delivery date. He then said that Elegant Homes don't usually do free delivery. I pointed out that this had all been arranged, and a specific delivery date had been given to us, and written down on our invoice. His response was 'well, people could read that statement in many different ways'. Unbelievably bad customer service. He ended the call by saying he would deliver our piece of furniture the next day at around 5pm. His parting shot was 'If I let you down tomorrow I'll bring it over the next day'. Surprise surprise he let me down the next day. The following day, I arrived home to find the chest of drawers, with no covering, packaging or other protection simply left down the side of the house. No note through the door to say it had been delivered. No apology for the applying customer service. No wonder this place is always empty when I drive past. Don't make the mistake we did, stay away from Elegant Homes.

On first meeting, Mike was a very pleasant and helpful man. I explained my situation, we found a solution for a very reasonable price (£25 + £10 for delivery) and made plans that I was to confirm. I subsequently confirmed with another member of staff and was told Mike would ring me on the day of delivery.He did ring on the morning of delivery and added a further £15 to the charge. When I queried this Mike became quite aggressive and said that I would need to pay the £15 for delivery. As I was desperate, I paid the charge over the phone.The delivery driver arrived following two other deliveries nearby, so I was confused as to why Mike required me to pay £25 for delivery and £25 for a second hand mattress with stains from the van (albeit pocket sprung). When I called Mike to discuss this he became very aggressive a second time suggesting that he come and collect the mattress.For a business that relies on repeat custom and word of mouth I am shocked at the incredibly poor standard of customer service and at the surprise charges. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Frankly, it is a shame that I forced to give this oneundeserved star.

Great Customer service love my new king size wooden bed and the matress is great one side cool gel other side when turned warm. Will return when I need more items . Short wait for delivery had items in stock. Great quality. Furniture for a fraction of the price of other stores. Would recommend .

Mike and his team really helped us out! He spent time showing us the different types of mattresses and then even offered to lend us one whilst the one we picked was delivered (we had friends staying so needed one ASAP). Such lovely service. Shop locally and support businesses! The delivery was spot on too, great guy carried the mattress and bed frame up to the room. The mattress itself is such great quality.

Waiting months now for them to come and look at a problem with our bed. Says he'll phone me when he's in my town. Just fobbing me off as I've seen their van in town a few times. No customer service whatsoever. We've had trouble with them since the day the furniture arrived. Don't use them
