Hard to find but good to see. Couldn't see any view from top as trees too tall. Nice little find though.

Great walk to it through trees. Unfortunately what should be a great view is blocked by the trees, but it's free so all is good.

Interesting folly hidden away in the woods. Despite visiting when it was supposed to be open, it was all locked up so couldn't go inside. Not really that much to see from ground level unfortunately.

I don't understand the reason for others giving this place a poor review. It's lovely.

The Observatory itself is currently closed due to Covid. There is no view as the pine forest has grown up around it. There is a bench and it is pleasant enough to sit for a short time. The forest has an easy to walk path network, and there are some single tracks radiating from the Observatory itself. The wood has a good car park, with picnic bench and is also accessible to walk to from Pitfour Estate by Mintlaw.

Walked the dogs here - nice long walk but can be a bit dirty in places. Lots of dog poo left on the path.

The woods are a nice walk and it's nice to come and see the observatory, but there isn't really anything more to do than look at it and have a seat on the bench. Come and enjoy a nice walk and maybe see some deer if you are lucky!

Sadly the trees are now so tall that there isn't a lot to see from the top. Well maintained just needs the trees felling to restore the view.

When I visited the trees have grown so tall you can't see any views. Don't bother visiting as you'll be very disappointed. This place could be so much better
