The Old School House Venue
Apparently, this venue once left a lot to be desired. However, I believe it's been overhauled, and it was very nice when I visited. The staff are friendly and polite, the toilets are clean, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The live music area is what makes this place though. A small hall with a stage at one end might not sound like much, but the sound quality was spot on, and it was nice to see decent lighting at a gig for a change. The hanging linens and firefly lights added to the atmosphere of a most enjoyable evening. I would have no qualms about returning here, any time. If this is typical of the area, then Barnsley should be proud. Recommended.

Good venue, separate area for gigs etc, pool table, outside seating and friendly staff.Was serving burgers and hot dogs, all good with me but I would suggest maybe a veggie/vegan option, especially for the type of crowd that was at the Mayday festival on Sunday.

Not been before. Nice pub. Friendly staff. Sat out in sun and had a few beers.
