We had a meal here recently as part of a large group. The vegetarian options were lovely, I had a vegetable wellington and it was very nice. The service was very good, but please get another server, the 2 people serving were rushed off their feet!!! They didn't stop. As a result of the lack of servers the food was not very hot, but that is a small grumble as the staff were lovely and we were made to feel so welcome. We would recommend Jude's Ferry and will definitely be returning.

Good beer garden and ok for a stop off if your passing but I wouldn't go out of your way to visit. The beer ran off while we were there and the first thing we ordered was not available so we had to choose something different. One meal (Fajitas) was good, the other was rather lacking, Chicken with mushroom sauce, was just chicken, mushroom sauce with mash. No vegetables or sides. The place looks like it could all do with a bit of love.

Great little place not only for drinks but Sunday dinner was excellent. Reasonably priced too. They have added on to the building with a dining area now. Nestled on a little canal, you can enjoy outdoor seating also. Went there over 40 years ago when we lived in England and was happy to see it's still open!

Lovely spot next to a river. Very relaxing. Nice drinks selection. Prawn cocktail and halloumi fries very tasty. Overall a great, laid back afternoon!

The pub is very spacious and when we arrived it was empty. We decided to have the carvery as it was a Sunday. We were served at the bar and given a ticket for the carvery. I had to ask the bar staff of we were allowed to sit anywhere and they said yes so we sat near to the entrance of what appeared to be the dining room and near to the carvery station. We had to wait for a while as we had arrived so early that the carvery wasn't started yet, but that was fine. Just after we arrived another party of 4 arrived and they came to sit in the same area as us. Then another couple of people turned up and had balloons etc for a party. It soon became apparent that she had been expecting the whole dining area to herself and she was complaining that we were there to a young member of staff who seemed very anxious. I asked him if he would like us to move and he said yes if we didn't mind could we sit right at the back and around the corner. We complied with this. The other table party did not move and the two ladies started to set up their balloons on tables. Meanwhile we approached the carvery station. The meat selection was turkey, beef, gammon and pork. I chose turkey and my husband chose beef. There were carrots, beans, stuffing, sausage, peas, Yorkshire and gravy to choose from as sides. I had everything except beans. It appeared that the vegetables were tinned veg. So, we ate. The quality of the food was dreadful. The vegetables were not fresh, the Yorkshire's were from a pre-prepared packet, the roast potatoes were dry and not crispy and the gravy was thin and watery. Nothing had been seasoned at all and it all was just pretty rubbish. We left the pub as we had already paid in advance and both of us agreed that it was one of the poorest roast dinners we had ever had. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here. However the staff were all friendly.

Went on a weekday lunchtime, so was fairly quiet. Roadworks in area didn't help and had to go long way round. Nice setting next to river, outside seating near River available. We ate inside, food available was reasonable, staff friendly and orders dealt with quite quickly. Price, I would say about average for what we ordered, all came as requested, was correct temperature. Tasty and enjoyed by all. I only gave four stars as there seemed to be a few flies inside and decor needed some attention.

Love the garden! However I do wish they had a better food and beverage situation. Love walking here in a nice day and sitting outside! Very quaint local pub.
