As a family member, most hospitals could not be bothered with you, but the staff at this hospital took the time to explain everything step by step as it was happening, and I was treated with respect at all times! My loved one was confused and disoriented and was cared for very well. It was really a breath of fresh air, and other hospitals could take note, obviously the patients have a different memory because it is a tough time for them, but my loved one improved rapidly and the staff called me whenever he needed anything and even took the trouble of combing the hospital for a lost parcel! Thank you!

Still struggling to heal from my extremely traumatic experiences of being on their ward. The staff are appalling and not all safe to be around vulnerable people. I am yet to even receive so much as an apology or acknowledgement of serious complaints nor any after care or help to deal with the TRAUMA they put me through

This place is not a therapeutic atmosphere for people suffering with mental health issues. I was admitted onto Frays Ward as an informal patient that was experiencing psychosis. During my stay on the ward, the only treaent I received was medication. They dose patients up on benzo's so they are walking zombies. Any time you approach a member of staff for a chat or to raise an issue you get given meds and get told to go away to your bedroom. They have no therapeutic activities to keep patients occupied, have insulting staff members that like to us force on patients and they don't like it when someone challenges their decisions. I have had a very unenjoyable stay during my time here. There is no communication between doctors and patients and even less between patients and nurses. The TV is stuck on 1 channel that the staff refuse to change and people are just left alone in their head. The food is awful, the kind you wouldn't feed to your dog. I really would not recommend going to this hospital if you are suffering with mental health issues. They falsify information and do not let patients know their rights. Overall it is a very sad state to see where tax payers money is being spent in a hospital like this.Staff need lessons in how to be courteous and empathetic.

I am definitely taking legal action against theses fraudsters who l want nothing to do with but who keep trying to interfere in my life. I have no need for any help from them, never have, never will.

This hospital released my daughter whilst she was still unwell to a hotel without any warning to the hotel. The hotel had no idea how to handle the situation. They misled me stating she would receive supervision to take medication. They left her in a vulnerable position in a town she’s not familiar with outside the area where a social service team was allocated to her. Despicable!

per my experience with NHS in this center, it has a very high stand of good treatment, care and kindness from all doctors and other staff, they are so humane and helped me get well soon. They’re like angels by how fast they helped me to get well soon, too much love i wish all the people who suffer from mental health get this chance to get well ❤️

I'm reading the negative reviews about this mental health hospital, and I am shocking! All the member of staffs, mental health professionals amezing. Empathetic, helpful, very kinde . Absolutely 5 stars

I went to this hospital and it’s disgusting. There is no cleanliness. I was admitted on a weekend and told no cleaners come in one weekends so I entered into a dirty room. I told the staff who did nothing - patients aren’t allowed cleaning products. I was here for 3 and a half weeks and when the cleaners came in it never got better. I had bugs in my room and the staff dragged a dirty mop around your room leaving it dirtier than when it started off with. The food was disgusting. The staff couldn’t care less about the patients. I self harmed multiple times whilst on the ward. I made a suicide attempt by taking a paracetamol overdose and was denied help. When I tried to call 999 myself to call an ambulance staff snatched my phone from my hand and confiscated it by locking it in the staff room. Weeks later I saw my discharge letter - they sent it to the wrong GP at first so I couldn’t even get my medication when I left the hospital. When I saw my discharge letter they LIED. I was in there for 2 suicide attempts in 2 days. Self harmed close to every day in there and got my wounds dressed by nurses. Left the hospital to go to a&e for a suicide attempt and these liars put in my discharge medical records that I had no risk of self harm or suicidal ideation on the ward. They more or less wrote I was singing and dancing around the ward. They also claimed they found me housing, which NEVER happened. These people are evil. I discharged myself because I found my mental health getting worse because there was no one to speak to I often called Samaritans and my mental health service to just have someone to talk to whilst I was there. They wrote in my discharge that they decided it was best for me to be discharged. I called up the ward to have this information corrected because they know this information is false. They refused to let me talk to the matron or anyone and told me to make a complaint. If you can, AVOID this hospital. This is a sham hospital and makes your mental health worse. Whilst I was there 2 patients started fires there as well. Horrible, horrendous conditions. Should be shut down.

I was medicated against my will, then injections were administered with terrible effects

My son spent 28 days in Frays ward, very nice friendly and professional staff, especially the doctor. My son had his own room with a bathroom. Food was amazing.
