The Junk Emporium
Absolutely brilliant place to get all sorts of things! It's like an all year round car boot sale.Staff are fantastic, friendly and there'd even a loyalty scheme, spend £15 enough times there and you'll get a huge discount. They also have a bunch of proper furniture in the back and a lot of carpets and lino to pick from at a really low price.

I wanted a single bed for my son, I asked if they had one and I was directed to the back where a member of staff was to have a look at the blue divan single bed available. The gentleman showed me the bed, the two drawers and the headboard. I went back and asked the big boss (owner) at the reception how much and he said £40 and no discount. I asked for delivery and the said £5. I paid and was told that it will be delivered same day. True to their words it was delivered. We did not realise that the headboard was not included until the delivery man left. I felt it was a simple mistake and that they would realise it the next day and call. But they NEVER did. I excused the action to the fact that they are really busy and might not have realised that they didn’t deliver the bed with the headboard. I then called them and the man that answered the phone said it wasn’t a mistake that the headboard was sold separately from the bed. I said why will the headboard be sold separately from the bed? No one told me before I paid and no one informed me that the terms of a completed transaction has change!!! Where on earth does this happen? To make it worse the man rudely said to me that the bed was supposed to be over £100 but I was given it for £40 so they won’t give me the headboard unless I paid another £15 for it. I reminded him that they didn’t do me a favour because I paid exactly what I was asked.I have never experienced something as horrible as this before. They still have the headboard.I feel that this is broad day criminal act, having paid for a good and you withhold part of it demanding more money. They may think they have gotten away with this one but they will definitely meet their match. It is said 99 days for the thief and one day for the owner.I had to post this so that people can be aware of how FRAUDULENT THEY ARE!!!

Loads of stuff, and some good antiques... the commodities are a bit pricey, but at least you'll find whatever you're looking for in there :D

What can be said about this place, apart from it's like a 3rd world poundland, where all the products were bought for a pound 15 years ago, then discarded to the local tip where upon Mr J. Emporium and his team of bin bag wearing scavengers rooted through the rubbish to find the nastiest tat they could, cleaned it with dirty nappies and put it on the shelves in their warehouse with a 2500% mark up.On the brightside, there is a whole section dedicated to Laurel and Hardy figurines, ornaments and puppets. On the downside, the last Laurel and Hardy lover most likely passed away 64 years ago, hence the memorabilia being in the Junk Emporium. Worth a visit if you have never been to a war torn country and wish to experience something akin to the devastation wrought by a direct missile strike.Three stars given for the offer open to anyone to use their toilet facilities and the friendliness of the staff, one star knocked off for a member of staff smoking inside the building.

Amazing selection and so much bigger than it looks, all sorts in here. Perfect for props, or random nicknacks. Definitely worth a visit for a look around

Quite a tip as you can imagine and as described. However a nice selection of furniture and although unwilling to haggle too much, got a small discount. Massive warehouse and you’ll find something you need although a bit of luck required.

It's a treasure trove of junk, most of it useless, some of it quite pricey but probably something for everyone. The only thing to add is that during the days after visiting, both myself and my wife felt quite unwell with headache and sore throat. It wasn't Covid but possibly the result of inhaling dust and mould spores? Maybe, maybe not but it's just something to consider if you are susceptible.
