I visit at least twice a week and buy the barm cakes and sub rolls which were always superb. It would appear that they have changed the recipe, they now taste and smell of very little, I would compare them to a poor supermarket type.I will be giving them a swerve from now on, also no scone corners or trifles.Very Poor.

As per the last review the cakes were always superb but this week very poor not much selection and smaller in size.Price increase also now £4 for two cakes of poor quality. Will not be using them again.

Love the pies only trouble is tried to buy some today at 1.45 lunch time and they hadn't got a one. Often even when they have some can't always get a meat variety. Not good.Called again today Friday at 12.45 meat and potatoe pies non ready, plus none of the cakes we like this the second time no cakes. After the comments below from the owner i did expect some improvement, giving up.

£3.36 for a steak & kidney with hardly any steak or kidney in it, and it tasted a bit bland. Extremely poor value. I like to support the smaller independent shops but this is one where I won't be calling in again.

The bakery sell the best beef pies .. the only problem is that they don't bake enough.. they sell out very fast.. since I retired from work I keep myself busy until 4pm.. I then have a cup of coffee or tea with a beef pie... afterwards I feel relaxed and snooze for about 1 hour ... bliss .. keep baking. Thanks

Usually enjoy the sandwiches here but can be hit and miss. Just got home with a cheese salad barm that had ONE very thin slice of cheese, the rest salad.Very disappointing!
