On first going in the room was really warm, after that it was down hill, we wasn't allowed in before the event to set the room up which is really strange, if we had time we would have cancelled the venue, pint of IPA nearly £5 it was rubbish, glass of red wine £5 Manchester price, couldn't get out of gents toilets there was no handle on inside, women's toilets flooded and the one toilet that was open didn't flush, was told we couldn't have main room because they had a dance group on but we was there till 10pm and they never had any dance class, no-one collecting glasses, we cleared our own, we binned our own buffet plates, bar staff were ok though but I think problems must lye with management, shame really but we made it a good time.

Had a great day on Sun celebrating success with the local councillors and MP's. The Indian Street Food lunch was a winner and went down a storm even with the kids!!

While the regular staff here are great the woman who manages is rude, has zero people skills and would do better to avoid working behind the bar(I really feel for her staff to be honest). Don’t work in hospitality if you don’t have people skills.I asked for a “gin and lemonade please”….”which gin?” she snapped! It’s not the first time I’ve noticed her bad attitude. Such a shame when the rest of the staff are so nice and helpful. If you want a party here go for it, it’s a great little place….but maybe request the manager doesn’t work behind the bar on the night or risk her being rude to all your guest. Please note I work in retail and grew up in a pub…we all know how hard it can be working in a customer facing job, but if I was as rude as her I’d be un- employed by now.

It was a nice space for a 6th birthday party that we where invited too. It is as you suspect musty con club with an alcohol smell but it is a good size and the staff are friendly

Booked for my brother in laws wake. A most unhelpful and hostile manageress who refused to let us in earlier than four o clock to prepare the room and lay the food out for guests to arrive after a three thirty funeral. Refused to let us book the big room for over a hundred guests and didn't provide enough chairs in the small room that she allocated to us. The two barstaff on duty were pleasant and did their best but guests were forced to clear their own tables of glasses as none were getting collected. The ladies toilets..... Where do I start????? Charging five pounds per drink ( flat IPA and warm wine) on average you'd think that she would fix the leaking pipe that stopped the loo from flushing and dripping water all over the tiled floor! They were were FILTHY. I use the term they" loosely

I would highly recommend looking else where for a function room. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. You will only be disappointed with how rude the staff are. Not family friendly at all made all the guest feel uncomfortable by following you about and starring and watching. Being questioned and quizzed about your drinks. And god forbid you let a 16 or 17 year old have a try of your drink which lets face it most kids these ages are curious and want to try, you will get the drink snatched from you without so much as two words being said . And if you confront them about this they then refuse to serve you a drink including soft drinks. And then play victim when quizzed about it
