There’s not much information about it to be found online, and it hides amongst the trees close to the tennis courts on Rocks Lane – most people using the courts or passing in the car or on the bus probably have no idea that it’s there. A true gothic experience right in the middle of Barnes common. I love it. Take a torch and stroll amongst the grave stones on a dark moonless night. That sound you hear is only the rustle of the leaves in the trees - no reason to be frightened. Alas, there are on occasion other far more disturbing sounds, as this is a popular spot for those who prefer to conduct their romantic congress al fresco.

This cemetery is really unique. It's like a place you see in those horror films. I just discovered it because a friend of mine who lives around the area told me about this creepy cemetery hidden in plain sight. It's not as beautiful compared to the seven magnificent, but it has a certain charm on it. It's kinda funny because it has like a sports area next to it and you wouldn't know there's a cemetery next to it unless you are local. Most of the graves are from the 19th century, and most of it are falling apart, so be careful not to touch any gravestone it might collapse on you and might lead into an accident. Overall, if you are into dark tourism, give this place a visit. It's free, and you can probably go in the middle of the night for that extra scare.

Lovely peaceful place, like all Victorian era cemeteries in London. There's nothing spooky about this place and it's perfect for summer afternoon walks.

The whole place is littered with backdoor Dierdreis always seem to bend over backwards to do anything to relieve you from a load or two it is a paradise made in heaven and I would only recommend to the council ministers that they should possibly go there themselves in the middle of the night without any underwear

Depending on your point of view, one of the creepiest or one of the most moving places in London.

Unless if you were local or have heard of Barnes Cementery, you probably wouldn't know about it.This old cementary is a perfect example one day nature will reclaim it all back. It's part of the Barnes common so what you see from the outside; it's dense forest or bushy, but if you go inside you'll find the remnant of an old cementary. The tombstone are scattered across a big area, and you can walk between, or admire it, or just stop and read the epitaph. If you come here during daytime, the place is eerie, feeling borderline haunted but yet peaceful. I came here late afternoon and there were not many people around but walking around in afternoon light /semi dark, it definitely feels creepy and haunted with the shadow and sound(s) that gives a echocing affect.Don't want to know what it feels like at night.
