Good food, nice location, but honestly sneaky service charges are just off-putting. Tipping should be the choice of the customer not forced upon them making it awkward to ask to remove it.Do you not pay the staff enough that you need to charge extra for their salary? This isn’t the USA. Up your prices if you can’t afford to pay wages.

Absolutely stunning place to stay, and at a reasonable price too. Our stay included breakfast which was delicious, and we also ate for dinner one evening which was good.The WiFi was very fast and reliable across site.Our room was above the restaurant, and is a listed building, so sound insulation is minimal. However we were not disturbed as the restaurant closed early and had a great night’s sleep. Very friendly staff. Would stay again.

We had an excellent 1 night stay for a friends wedding. Everything was superb. I will definitely be recommending the Fox Inn to friends and family.

Great all round pub. Evening meal was great and breakfast was spot on. Only gripe was the service charge slapped on the meal bill, surely it's up to the customers if they want to leave a tip! I would have left more than 10% if it had been my choice!

Delicious goats cheese and caramelised shallots sourdough bun with homemade coleslaw with a small bowl of chunky chips for £7. Perfect lunch after a country walk. Lovely pub, beautifully and tastefully done up,. Sat next to the fire at the bar and staff were very friendly. Looks like a great place to go in the summer as you can sit in the garden next to the river. Looks like dogs very welcome

Wonderful place. Gorgeous room with river view and woken by birdsong. We stayed here for a wedding held at the local Stone Barn venue (also fab). Only downside was the local taxi availability to get to and from the venue. Do make sure you book in advance as we were stuck, despite the staff trying to help us, and help us they did, the manager was kind enough to take us in her own car. That was unexpected and very kind. You don't find that kind of service anymore, so a big thanks to them. Will definitely make a bee line for this place again when in the area.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Fantastic pub with the log fire burning! Great, friendly staff. Room was lovely and all the meals we had delicious. Well worth a visit!

We came with our friends for lunch along with our dog, staff were lovely food was delicious and we were made to feel very welcome. The waitresses praised our dog for being so well behaved, we will definitely be returning. This was also the first time our dog had been in a pub as he is a rescue dog from the blue cross @burford.

We wanted to stay in the Burford area and came across this little, inexpensive gem! Absolutely delightful setting, interior, staff and food...the menu had the traditional, but with a tasty twist. Will definitely stay here again when visiting this area.

Friendly staff who were very accommodating and loved our dogs. Food was great, we only had a few starters but really tasty. Looking forward to visiting again for the full menu.
