The WHSmith and Beureu de change staff are always super friendly. There's a lady at the Post Office counter whose sole purpose in life is to be as unhelpful, unfriendly and as rude as she can possibly be; however, the other lady and the guy are superb every time. The machines are also handy if in a rush.

This is a large 2 storey store with loads of choice. The store was well stocked and the staff were really helpful when I couldn't find what I was looking for.

On both occasions visiting this branch, the queue has been somewhat lengthy for the Post Office. I appreciate this is not wholly the fault of the staff, but would be nice to see more cashier desks open; especially during busy times. Self service can be a little chaotic as, ordinarily, not everyone understands how to use them. Nonetheless, always have had a pleasant experience using their services.

Had to pop in before starting work to use post office… should be stated on your website it doesn’t open until 9.a.m2 members of staff soo miserable… if you don’t like working with public don’t take a job where you have to interact with them.!! Guy who served me in the main shop couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant.. and they say the younger generation are bad.. such a nice guy.

This store has always been my choice for Magazines and books but since the move of the Main Post Office into the 1st floor there have been a lot of changes. Half the books upstairs have gone as well as 90% of the toys. Downstairs the magazines gave also suffered with a lot of the niche ones being removed to make room for items moved from upstairs.Positive is the remaining selection is great and nicely displayed and the staff, as always, are polite and helpful.

The worst post office ! During Christmas one of the incompetent women on the counter wouldn't let me post a tea towel and dress she said you're not allowed to post clothing items abroad. God knows where she made up that one, but it left me frustrated. I don't know what she based this off, the way I look or whatever... another time I asked for pen as I had missed out some details on my package and was told I'd need to purchase a £10 pen and they don't lend anything. And fast forward today early morning, only one person at the counter, she spent an eternity with each person chatting away useless things and taking up everyone's time in the queue. Some people have lives and proper jobs, someone got heated in the crowd and told her to hurry up and where were her colleagues, she said they were all on their breaks. In what world do people have the privilege of taking a break at 9am and Peak hour of the day??? When it was my turn at the counter she proceeded to excessively question me for a small letter being sent inland. No one has time for this nonsense, its a shame its the only post office in the city but this place needs to shut down.

This is the WORST post office branch in Plymouth, if not in the South West. The Travel money/Business counter is totally unbelievable. Banking for a business is totally disgusting. Never any staff or on a' break', meaning people have to carry a lot of money to and fro. Sooner this place closes the better. Sack the lot of them!!!!

This particular branch is tired looking and not very well laid out. Some staff members are lethargic and you get the feeling they are not enjoying working there. The staff are few and far between. I waited to be served upstairs but realised the non manned pay desk was just that even though a member of staff walked past and carried on around the corner. I did ask if she could serve me but I was ignored. I went downstairs, joined the queue and was served by a very pleasant lady. Whilst in the queue a customer was very vocally storming out as she couldn't find anyone to help her find something. Oh dear, not just me then! I think the Post Office located on the first floor keeps the shop going though difficult to access for older, disabled and parents/carers with prams.
