No 82 The Unthank

Overall, very happy.The concierge was a bit of a pfaff as we arrived late in the evening, but we got in eventually.The room was nice and spacious (Plantation Room), mini kitchen, shower and loo. There was a bath in the room which we didn’t use but looked huge.A couple of the rooms are facing the road which is a little bit noisy, but we were fine with that and there were ear plugs in the drawers for light sleepers.Our bed was really comfortable with a feather duvet and pillows, we slept well.Only thing for improvement is getting rid of the cobwebs in the high ceilings!Just a few metres away is a Tesco Express which was great and open until 11pm most days.If we’re visiting Norwich again, we’d be happy to stay here again.

Fair 15 minute walk to the city centre. Nearby tesco express and pubs. Very good facilities and easy/convenient check in process (just follow the instructions in the email).There was nearby noise at night but it was gone after 10pm so managed to sleep well.Would go back here again.

Very lovely. Came up from Cambridge and wanted to cook for myself but never can in a normal hotel so wanted something a bit different. Everything was very clean and overall it was a lovely stay. Guy was lovely

The 1 star is for the location, which is a good base for travelling Norfolk and Norwich.We travelled as a couple, with my wife being fairly heavily pregnant.The apartments on arrival seem all well and good. However there were several things we encountered on our trip.We went on a very warm weekend in June and when we checked in we and the receptionist both acknowledged how hot it was, even with the windows open. We asked if there was air con or a fan and there was neither. However she said the apartment should cool by the evening.When we returned to the apartment in the evening ready to go to bed it was absolutely boiling so naturally we opened the window to let some fresh air in.However this brought with it another issue. Around the corner from apartment is a pub which you could hear everything and everyone from. Including loud vehicles, loud music and loud people. This was bad enough at 11pm-2.30am but then to top it off a group decided to deal dr*gs next to my car - which would have all been on the apartments CCTV. When this happened I called the apartments 24/7 security, who didn't really seem to care and stated they would report it back to the reception. We probably got some form of sleep from 3am ish.We checked out and explained all of this to the receptionist who seemed fairly empathetic, however she advised us to raise it with head office as she couldn't do anything about it.We did this when we returned home, however they could not care less and didn't offer much of an apology or any form of refund for the awful stay at their apartments.I would highly recommend not staying there due to all of this. For the main issue we encountered a fan or air con unit would have solved most of it (except the group dealing dr*gs next to my car which left us both feeling very unsettled).Horrible experience overall and the company don't care, so stay there at your risk for the reasons stated in this review.

Lovely luxury apartments. Had a couple of nights here as a bday treat for my wife. Well worth the money and felt very special.

So this place is an easy 4star for me.Parking was easy, with no real squeeze even when your last to arrive, which is a big plus.Check-in / reception closes earlier than expected, but the instructions for self check in delivered by email were easy enough to follow. There are lots of codes, so keep your mail in an easy to find place.Finding your room was another easy enough task as long as you're not half asleep and see the signs.The room was quite nice. You do have your own full private kitchen, including oven fridge and microwave.. the only downfall was that my window was damaged and did look like it was ready to fall.The area has a tescos pretty much next door, which you could buy stuff for your kitchen, which is good, so a thumbs up from me.The reason for my 4 star is.Lighting in the alley way could have been better and I wish check in was there longer.

Receptionist was very helpful and let us have the room early. The rooms were lovely and beds very comfy. Great location too, not far from city centre or Uni campus
