Teignmouth Post Office

We had to get a number of documents authorised for a mortgage application. Kelly was incredibly helpful and talked us through what she had to do. We were really impressed with her professionalism. Thank you to the post office and to Kelly.Peter and Nicola Hollingsworth

September 2023. A good sized post office. However whenever I’ve used it, only two counters are ever open. Which wouldn’t be so bad if a certain staff member didn’t try and chat to every single customer for 5 mins after she’s finished serving them.Staff need to learn how to hold and use the scanner correctly to scan QR codes.A customer can easily hold their own phone and show the screen with QR code on, just under the counter. But no.I do not appreciate staff member insisting I hand over my phone to her, and then handling it for several minutes, all because she can’t work out how to scan things correctly, including zooming my screen in and out, closing the QR code and therefore seeing my private photos, and reopening it.I made it clear I did not want her handling my phone, but was basically ignored!One point she asked me to turn up the brightness on my screen, when I did so, and she saw how it was done, she said “oh I could’ve done that”So I replied “No it’s my phone”She even read a private text message that appeared and stayed on the screen for several minutes whilst she was attempting to scan.Spent a few good minutes rubbing alcohol wipes around my phone after that - Yuck!I normally try and avoid being served by this person, however that’s hard, when there only ever seems to be two counters opened.

I've only recently started using this post office a few months ago and now use it for both work and personal post almost daily. Always fantastic customer service. Especially from Sue who greets me with a smile and a friendly comment every time she sees me, and I always get a wave even if I go to a different counter. I've used many post offices and this is no doubt the best.

The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful with helping me send off a watch. I didn't know that it had to be secured due to the battery. He found me some cardboard and gave me some tape so that I could send it off and not delay. Great customer service.

Teignmouth post office has kept its ‘old fashioned’ feeling which is a comfort nowadays. I was served by Dawn who was very efficient and cheerful and I was made to feel like a valued customer.. Thankyou!

Always really friendly and helpful staff at this post office. Today Lisa helped me out and was so patient, understanding and good company as we sorted out my paperwork. Thank you for great service....

Lovely Post Office, queues may be long sometimes but go down very quickly. Staff are efficient, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Sue for making my visit effortlessly easy despite not having a clue how I was supposed to access the service I needed. Thank you PO Counters and please don't ever consider closing this asset !.

Lisa is a great new member of staff at our local post office in Teignmouth. She always greets everyone with a huge friendly smile. She presents herself with a professional and helpful attitude!!

Sue was super helpful both days that she assisted me!She helped me get booked in for renewing my driving licence (because I had thrown away the dvla letter) & then sorted out rearranging the date when I realised I couldn't make it & had to go back the following day to change it!
