A good place for older games like PS2/3/4 though some prices are questionable for older titles. Prefer this one over the Prospect Street one more quite staff are friendly was stood in the Q buying a DVD and it was already pick from the shelves by someone I was paid and out in 5 mins great service

We love our boxsets from the 60s to the present day and we always find something we like and outta our 400+ sets most of them are from cex. The staff are always friendly and helpful play good music they have films, TV , games for various platforms as well mobile phones, pc parts to collectables. You can trade in or sell your old stuff too. There's plenty of stores to no matter where we've been there always a CEX. my only 2 negative things are 1) the shops always have a bad smell in them(in every store) and 2) i hate the duffel bag lol .

Excellent place for inexpressible used dvds etc

The guys were very patient when I took a trolley load of consoles and games in, and I was offered way more than I expected to get.

Needed a replacement iPod so following my online research paid a visit to the Whitefriargate store which had a number of iPod options.A member of staff quickly came to my assistance and guided me across the store to the iPod selection. Found a nice one at a reasonable price.Unfortunately Not as much information about transferring the old iPod as I wanted or needed, to transfer non apple purchases.

Be very careful before buying anything from this shop. One star is very flattering but I can't give them a zero. I bought a used phone for £110 on Saturday 17th December and was told to return in half an hour for it to be charged. I returned, thought it was strange that it was only 10% charged but foolishly bought it anyway after being reassured that they are all checked and tested before being put on sale. They didn't sell cases or screen protectors so I was advised to buy them from a nearby shop, which I did. I couldn't get it to charge when I got home and after 24 hours' charging showed 0%.I returned it on Monday 19th December and they were very reluctant to give me my money back. I had to threaten them with trading standards and/or court action. I was told to come back in 15 minutes for them to 'warranty test' it. On my return, they reluctantly gave me a refund but weren't interested in the now redundant case and screen protector I had purchased. It has cost me several hours of my time as well as a gallon of diesel to return it plus the £15 for the case and screen protector. I had to ask for my sim card back and the case and screen protector. They are very nice until something goes wrong. I am in no doubt this was knowingly sold with a defect. My advice is to steer well clear!

The CEX store in whitefriergate is a excellent shop to buy and sell games and dvd's. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I went in looking for a particular DVD which I could not find, I asked a member of staff who searched their system only to inform me they didn't have it. She then searched the system to see if they had it in any of the other shops, informing me they had one in their prospect center shop, so I was able to go and get what I'd been looking for. It's good that they take the trouble to try and help out their customers. I always receive excellent service here, they also had some very nice top quality cameras and lenses in at very reasonable prices. A great shop definitely recommended.

Cex is great, I would highly recommend anyone that's looking to pick up second hand electrical item to go here. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will go out of there way to go the extra mile for you. With the 2 year warranty that's also offered it's a worthwhile place to shop.

Bought a phone last week, screen was faulty....took it back today...staff were superb nothing was too much for them....really good customer service .....compared to some.....10/10

Props to the staff, probably the best CeX of the 3 we have in Hull when it comes to service, as with the others I've been here many times over the years. Always fast with serving customers and just genuinely being nice as a whole.
