PARSONS BAKERY CHEDDARHave been calling here for a long time as we drive through Cheddar, rolls nicely filled, some cakes lovely, not cheap ingrediencies. HOWEVER, was really disappointed last week when in a rush my sister didnt ask for the meal-deal and ended up paying over the odds for the combination of purchases, cakes/rolls etc and her £15 ish was not well spent to best value. The assistant didnt highlight it to her at the time, and it was only when she returned to the car and I asked for the drink she said she had forgotten to purchase our take-out lunch with the 'meal-deal'. She returned but the assistant wouldn't amend the purchase or allow us to add to the drink option etc. Seemed a bit mean to be honest, the serving assistants are there to help customers after all, and it would have been nice if my sister's 'mistake' or a reminder of the meal deal option had been made. When my sister returned the lady wasnt very pleasant so we shall not call in again. It doesnt take much to ruin good customer experience.

Fantastic place, can confirm maxed out debit card, worth spending all my £70 in 2 weeks. Sausage rolls are brilliant and novelty biscuits are criminally underrated. Thank you

Always use this bakery and always had excellent service from very friendly staff. But unfortunately today was the worst experience ever had to wait for the stuff to come out the oven which was OK didn't mind this at all. But what I did mind was having to wait over 10 mins to be served while one person was making sandwiches again not a problem. The problem was the the other behind till service person as instead of serving me and the growing queue that was going out of the shop and around the corner she was breaking up cardboard boxes and placing what looked like paper sheets over bread rolls all this could have been done when the shop was quiet and not making people wait to be served. Very bad indeed especially as you now have competition from the bakery opposite as I noticed on my walk to you.

Been coming here a lot recently as I’m renovating the house and have no kitchen. These girls are lifesavers. A great bacon sandwich is sadly a dying art but not at parsons. Thick bread, lots of butter, part crispy bacon- perfect!! As for the pastry’s, and other baked items- so good.

Look nice and clean but unfortunately they are not fresh , my son got a ginger man cookie and we just threw it away, as it was very soft and seemed out of dated.

My partner and I enjoy driving down to grab something tasty from this particular Parsons, unfortunately it's almost exclusively on Sundays which means the selection is often limited. Parking nearby is typically tricky.

Excellent food, well priced and friendly staff

Great quality and great tasting food.Very friendly staff. Dog friendly with a table and chairs outside, perfect stop for a quick coffee too without the hustle of the main street.

Very good coffee and a good selection of savory and sweet pastries for a relatively small shop.
