Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK)
We had a road trip from Yeovil to Glastonbury. Followed the review and stopover here. Ordered Taxi drivers with skinny fries, classic beef burger and Korea BBQ burger. Overall experience was good, spacious restaurant. Staffs were kind and friendly.

Food was brilliant. Service was surprisingly fast, even though they were under-staffed during our visit. The situation was managed well and our visit was very pleasant.

Food mediocre … Poor service only us and one other couple in whole restaurant yet it took 32 mins for our food to arrive !!?? .. I wouldn’t describe the staff as providing any kind of attentive service .. would I return ?.. never

If you like a burger then go here. The burgers are amazing try the Taxidriver, full of flavour.Perfect milk shakes.Order via QR code or at the bar.It's not cheap but it is good value for money

Went to the branch at Clarks village. Although there was a queue the staff were seating everyone quickly and efficiently. We were given a menu to look at and were seated in minutes. I placed the order at the bar and the staff member was fiendly and helpful.Drinks came out quickly and the food followed shortly. It was all fresh, well seasoned and hot. While there i noticed the staff although super busy were all happy to help and the restaurant was really clean and tidy. A very enjoyable lunch!

We were waiting at the front of the queue to be seated for about 7 minutes, and about 15 minutes total in this queue. There were plenty of clean tables, but we were left waiting. When we were seated, we had to go to the bar to order - so staff were not busy with table service. When we received our drinks, the hot drink was missing, so we had to ask for it. The mug it came in was absolutely tiny. The glass for the coke had lipstick on it, which we found disgusting. The cold drinks are stored in an unlocked cupboard, so are not chilled and can be accessed by anyone, since it is not behind the bar. At the bar, however, was a lovely bottle of toilet cleaner, right next to condiments which had been left there, in spite of there being a shelf for them.The food was nice, however meals were served in plastic baskets with holes in, so we had to ask for plates to use sauces.There were about 7 staff members running the floor. Of those 7, only 2 were in uniform and they were the only people doing anything. The people in non-uniform stood around chatting, and sometimes it took 2 of them to clean the cutlery (at the pace of a toddler). The staff not in uniform (superiors/management) were dressed in very unprofessional attire. The man we were seated by was wearing a grey gym t-shirt which was covered in stains. A female member was in jeans, and another was wearing sunglasses while wandering in and out of the kitchen. There was a girl in uniform who was attempting to serve all the food and drinks, and a man who was clearing tables and wiping them down. The other 5 staff did absolutely nothing, and were careless when it came to customers, since we spent about 5 minutes trying to get their attention to ask for plates, clean glasses, etc. Food was sat around as one person tried to deliver all food and drinks, since nobody bothered to help. These non-uniformed staff members stood chatting, and nobody attended to the queue of people at the door. There were plenty of clean tables, but in the hour or so we were there for, only about 4 parties were seated - and there was always a queue.Overall, our experience was let down by poor and ignorant management. Thank you to the 2 team members who actually did their jobs, and the people behind the bar and in the kitchen who were working quickly and well.

8 people, no pre-booked table, Saturday lunchtime only had to wait 5 minutes to get seated. You can order your food from the table using the GBK app and the free Wi-Fi. The food was with us within 15 minutes and tasted superb. Top marks :)

Very noisy echoey restaurant, uncomfortable chairs, burgers are tiny but tasty, totally overpriced and onion rings stone cold, you order on the app or at the bar, no one checks to see the food is ok and you pay before you eat so it's not a great scenario.The service wasn't great quite slow considering what came out on the plate.Very disappointing meal.

Greeted by the entrance by a warm and welcoming staff member. We have never been to this restaurant before, as not many chain restaurants venture down to Cornwall. We were seated and we were informed how to order and what food they recommend which was a nice touch. The food came out very quickly and was perfect, we asked for a medium burger and it came out medium, chips were hot, the onion rings are delicious! Definitely recommend and the baconaise sauce was great!.. lovely open restaurant, great vibe and very clean!. We really enjoyed it and will be coming again, especially for when we come up to do Christmas shopping!
