Modern Roofs replaced the flat roof of my parents garage in Anstey. Stripped off the old covering and replaced with new. Did a brilliant job. Professional and courteous staff and operatives, great quality job at a competitive price. Elderly parents were delighted. They also came back to remedy a problem with the ridge tiles on the house. Someone recommended Modern Roofs to me, I’ve had a problem with my roof whilst most companies were closed because of Corona, I’d left a message for them around 2 months ago on the answer phone, when everyone first went into lockdown but decided to contact them on their Facebook page as well just incase they were closed too. Having seen a review on here that wasn’t very favourable I was unsure if I’d get a reply. However I got a very prompt message back explaining their situation, they were closed, but they took my details and as promised called me back and arranged a quote today because they’re back at work now. They’ve been very helpful. They told me the issue I was told I had by another roofer isn’t as bad and Modern Roofs quote is a third of the cost. Despite being really busy they’re coming round next week to fix it. I think it’s really unfair for someone to put a negative review at the beginning of a pandemic.

Dealt with the company back in the summer and everything seemed fine, got the job booked in, a leak in the roof so it was a simple fix of repointing the chimney and replacing the lead flashing around. Job was part done when I was in the house, was told by the guy he would he back to do a few extra bits but was basically done. Waited a week or so with no show or contact for when to expect him. Called up and they told me he had been round to my property without anyone present and finished the job from the front of the house... so no follow up required. I was not happy that he just came around when he had a free moment without anyone there to sign off. Regardless we paid for the job, later on inspection of the job at hand, my husband and I found the job not satisfactory as the chimney looked like it has been put together with playdo by a 4 year old. We told the company this over the phone, they apologized and assured us that someone would be round to have a look and fix this. We have now gone on to 5 months later chasing Reuben from the company to have him tell us that he will 'sort it' and it's still not done.

I work in a factory next to where this company was doing a roof fitting of corrugated panels last week... in a very unprofessional way...... no safety equipment used... ..watched them allow roofing panels to be blown about by the wind. One of which landed in someone's garden and could have harmed them as the resident was in the garden at the time and promptly started shouting at them. Watched as the gaffer spoke down to the resident (a woman) before just walking away. Today they are back and yet again, no safety equipment and no common sense. The gaffer is a total misogynist and has no respect for anyone. The roof is just being bodged together. A friend of mine (a roofer) knows the company and has had many negative run ins with them as he has had to fix the work modern roofs did on many properties. Do not use this company as they are not nice and are cowboy roofers who will take your money and leave with a half arsed job done.

We've used Modern Roofs twice now - they've been absolutely fantastic. So patient with our processes (lots of red tape for charities). Excellent work, very reasonably priced. Thank you!

I recently had a problem with water penetrating my roof causing damage to the ceiling. Modern Roofs came out and provided a competitive quote. The roofer undertaking the work was friendly and courteous and took the time to explain the problem in a way that made it easy to understand. I have not had any further problems and would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended!

Yet again other roofers trying to belittle our company. This work was carried out to Electromech and the owner was over the moon with the quality of the work and could not praise the men high enough. The photos are on our face book if anyone would like to look. We worked off towers and all H&S was adhered to. We are getting seriously hacked off with this as it can damage business. These key board warriors no nothing about our company.
