I phoned to cancel an order. the person answering the phone, said 'we are a bit busy at the moment' and just put the phone down, did not even let me finish the sentence. RUDE !

Asked for advice about size of turkey -owner walked away then complained that I was “ruining the turkey by moving It around the chiller cabinet”, if he had helped me in the first place he would have nothing to complain about. Very rude. No wonder the shop looks about to close down.

What a nasty nasty little man. I recently got offered a job there. Did my first day and when I got home my wife who has had a double transplant, had developed flu symptoms. In this current climate I thought it best not to go into the workplace with possible covid 19.Do what did Mr Cohen do? Say thank you for your concern and thought? No! Sent me a snotty message and didn't pay me.

Not content with being the most expensive butcher, I can confirm he is also the rudest, though I’m only seconding what others have said before. I parked my vehicle in the car park, bought my kosher chicken and put it in my boot. I then popped to chemist to get a prescription. On my return I had a note sellotaped to my windscreen threatening to have my car towed which was then verbally enforced by the owner. When I showed him my shopping, rather than apologise, he started to shout that I couldn’t park any longer than I shopped. It all turned quite ugly, further threats to clamp or block in my vehicle accompanied with him putting his hand on my car door and leaning in to the drivers seat basically wanting to fight me whilst foaming at the mouth. I was appalled. What a disgusting man. My family and I live in Cockfosters and been shopping here for years. No more! Boycott la Boucherie or risk the above. Who does he think he is?!

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I had heard that the owner is an awful man, and this was proved accurate today. I asked one of his staff to kindly remove the skins for me on some chicken thighs and the guy was about to do this when the owner asked him what he was doing. When he told him, the owner told him not to! The owner then disappeared round the back. I said I wanted to speak to him and when he reluctantly came back out he was unapologetic and aggressive. Extraordinary. I was bemused and gobsmacked, and said why on earth not and that his staff had done this for me before and it only took him literally 2 minutes to do. His confrontational response to this was 'WELL IF IT ONLY TAKES 2 MINUTES, DO IT YOURSELF.' He even seemed to be threatening to turn violent when he told me it was best if I moved away from him. His staff are nice but he is a disgrace.

They hold customers in contempt! A multi pack of mince meat with a long shelf life on the top with the shortest shelf life mince taped up at the bottom. Very misleading and the man spoken to on the phone couldn’t have cared less and couldn’t see the issue with this.

Absolutely rude rude people and if there was competition in Southgate I'm sure they would not be doing well!. My mum and I both phoned up earlier to ask if they had cholent mix to be told Just assume we don't as I'm upstairs and downstairs have turned off their phones as they are too busy" Pretty dam sure if I was a customer who spent hundreds a week she'd be racing down those stairs to check. I'm proud of my faith but why are many Jewish shop holders so bloody rude although Be Kosher in Borehamwood have exemplary customer services. They really don't deserve the business!"

I phoned the Barnet shop to ask if they had mini sausages after Passover and a rude man on the phone told me they have sausages but don't know if they are large or small - I asked if he could check so I don't make a special journey as my kids only like mini ones - he rudely shouted at me again 'We have sausages but I don't know if they are large or small' - I asked again if he could check and he shouted no he wouldn't check and then he hung up. Maybe I caught him whilst busy, maybe he was having a bad day - but I hate it when someone is rude and they don't deserve my support to a small business - not that they will care with an attitude like that!
