PMH Jewellery in Standish deserves the highest praise for the work they have completed on a piece of jewellery belonging to my wife. It required repairing and new rubies inserting, finishing off with cleaning. I picked the piece up today and my wife was absolutely delighted with the result, so much so we rang back to say how pleased we were with it. The ring goes way back into her family and it will be a gift to someone special. Phil's work is second to none and he thoroughly deserves much praise for his expertise and skill. When you go to the premises it is very secure and you can only be admitted by buzzing in". Once in you will receive a very courteous welcome from Phil's wife. I took my engagement ring to be resized here and after collecting noticed there were a few issues; scratches on the ring, the ring not being shaped neatly, not been recoated as quoted as well as the branding on the inside of the ring that had been removed without my consent. I took the ring back to be corrected but it was not.The jeweller's response to this was that he would 'dumb down how he does it so I can understand'. Throughout my complaint I was spoken down to rudely in a very condescending manner when my main aim was for my ring to be repaired correctly and the branding reinstated as it was when brought into the shop. His solution was for me to take it back to the store my husband originally bought it from and to tell them the branding had 'worn off'.Unprofessional and I am now left with an engagement ring that has been ruined and the sentimental value lessened. I have attached photographs for proof of poor workmanship where the diamond on the inside of the ring has moved to the edge of the band from being stretched and the misshapen ring.EDIT - The store that previously resized the ring was 4 years ago and the comment regarding them removing the brand of the ring is completely false. This further highlights how this owner treats his customers by calling me a liar rather than owning up to his own mistakes.

I've recently had 3 rings redesigned and resized by Phil at PMH - the rings were old fashioned and not fit for purpose (literally) and Phil has done an amazing job at bringing them back to life. Phil was happy to make adjustments to meet my needs and his craftsmanship is excellent on all three pieces. Phil also made my fiance's wedding ring from scratch and we are delighted with the end result.

Phil has been my jeweller of choice for over 13 years. He's sold me pieces, remodelled some of my old jewellery and always delivered on time when asked. His workmanship is second to none. I simply don't understand the negative reviews as my dealings with him have always been totally positive. Phil is extremely friendly in the shop as is his wife Kathryn, they both take time to ensure the buying experience is a wonderful experience. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. This is my honest & totally independent review. I would highly recommend Phil & his skills at producing & repairing jewellery to the highest standards.

I recently commissioned PMH Jewellery to make a bespoke ring for my wife to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary.The process of dealing with Philip was a brilliant experience. He listened carefully to what I had in mind, then within a few days he had come back with some sketches and designs for me to consider.We chatted about the ideas he had and we agreed on a design which was a combination of a couple of the ideas he had put forward.Within a couple of weeks Phil sent me photos of the ring in the manufacturing process. This gave me the confidence to know that the job was being done with care and skill.The finished ring was a joy to see, far exceeding my expectations, a truly original, one-off ring. The ring was a combination of Gold, Silver and Platinum with a wonderful clean stone taking centre stage.I gave it to my wife whilst away in Spain and she was overjoyed! She has hardly taken it off since.Thanks Phil for a great piece of work, carefully and skilfully carried out.I will be back when the next celebration comes around.

I had my engagement ring made by Phil a few years back, its a lovely ring and I've had plenty of lovely comments from family and friends on how well made and different it is compared to other engagements ring out there. Phil has now made my wedding ring to match my engagement ring and what a fabulous job he has done!. Phil is a very talented person and I would recommend any body thinking of having any pieces of Jewellery hand made to go to him.
