I first came across Performance Sports Therapy and Colin Gordon on Facebook and signed up to his emails and got lots of good advice about running, training and staying injury free or recovering from injury. I liked his no-nonsense style, and when I got the opportunity to join one of his coaching groups, I did. The training programmes and weekly Zoom calls keep me motivated and encouraged. Colin has a great sense of humour and has boosted my confidence and self belief. It’s good to be able to ask lots of questions and learn from Colin’s and other people’s experience. Although I’ve not met Colin in person, he’s a big influence in my life. I’d be lost without him.

Colin was great. Around this time last year I had a sharp pain in my groin area whenever I tried to run or play football, which a doctor and another physio were unable to resolve. After an initial consultation with Colin he took me back to basics to work out the root cause, then slowly built me back up again within 6 sessions over 2 months. I am now back playing football pain free.

I visited Colin 6 months ago as I had recently been accepted from the ballot process to run the London Marathon - this was a huge surprise as I didn't expect to get through the ballot. At this point, I couldn't run a mile without stopping due to knee pain I had developed while training for the Prague Marathon 3 years earlier. This was the motivation to go and see Colin, though to be honest I'd resigned myself to never being able to run any distance without pain again! After completing Colin's program over the course of 2-3 months I was able to run again, with confidence. Not only did he solve my physical ailments, more importantly he gave me the confidence to understand the feedback my knee was giving me and when it was OK to push through any pain. He also simplified my thought process while running and stopped me overcomplicating my stride pattern. I'm back to heel striking because it feels natural to me.I really can't recommend Colin enough - his service allowed me to complete 26.2 miles of the hottest London marathon on record, when I really did think 6 months ago that my running days were over!!Not only this, but he is very approachable and friendly and really puts you at ease during his sessions, before then providing you with a list of exercises to perform between sessions. These exercises are clearly explained and video demos are also provided to assist.I really can't recommend Colin enough - if you are dealing with running injuries you should go and see him. Hopefully, I don't have too many more injuries, but I wouldn't hesitate to use Performance Sports Therapy again if I need to.

I have been getting treatment from Colin for many years and he has never failed to help various injuries. However Colin's skills are much more than simple massage therapy - he continues to learn and develop his range of techniques and approaches. His knowledge of training and technique for running, lifting and general exercise makes him a unique and valuable coach. Always easy to talk to he has a knack of identifying the problem, treating where necessary and prescribing the moves and daily exercises to address the root problem. Highly recommended if you are looking to treat a sports injury or just to improve your overall performance.

I have used Colin's services for a few years now whenever I pick up an injury running. His knowledge is extensive and the exercises are easy to do at home. Colin is a great guy as well so despite trying to get over an injury, its always good to catch up with him! I would thoroughly recommend him and his services.

I took up Colin’s special offer for a full lower body assessment after attending his Knee Pain Solution workshop just before Xmas, and booked 6 therapy sessions on the back of that, as I was impressed with how knowledgeable he was.I’ve had fallen arches and ankle problems for a few years now and those 6 weekly sessions working with Colin have done more for me than the NHS podiatrists and physiotherapists have managed. He helped me reshape my feet, and even treated me for a grumbling groin strain!Very much recommended.

Came across Colin totally by chance via a facebook advert, and can happily say I never regretted it for a second.Has a wealth of experience and a no-nonsense approach which helped me go from a beginner runner with constant knee issues to setting some surprising PBs as a competitive duathlete. He has completely changed my mindset in terms of what sort of training is required to get massive gains in fitness. Can absolutely 100% recommend him to anyone looking to gain fitness or get over any recurring injuries, you will not be disappointed.

Went to see Colin after my partner recommend him. She had been looking to improve her performance in running and get rid of a few niggling injuries.Colin helped me understand what was going on with my body and how to address this. After following his program of exercises and stretches I'm out of my chronic pain and definitely noticed an improvement in performance.

I went to Colin with problems in my hamstring and feet. Colin is super knowledgeable about his work and is constantly adding to that skill set. He takes the time to get to know you and your physical make up. And if you're looking for a quick resolution to problems he can help you. However, what I have been more impressed about is his ability to diagnose many of my biomechanical faults just by how my muscles respond. Consequently, we're now working on performance goals and advancement that far outweigh resolving hamstring and feet problems. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I came to Colin with lower back pain, a problem for many years, together with an arthritic knee. Always patient, tolerant and good humoured, he has taught me a variety of exercises and that have not only made me feel more flexible and generally better but has also encouraged me to increase quite significantly my exercise regime. I would not hesitate to go back to Colin for a review in a few months time in the knowledge that he would encourage me to develop further. No mean feat given my previous attitude to exercise!Graham Collier
