Basic plain old English tea room, which I understand as it’s the style but I think the food menu could be a slightly bit more exciting, especially if your eating no meat you are very much stuck to eggs and toast, I love the effects and vibe of the place just think the food choices could do with some updating

Start one really positive note. Great cakes. Second. The staff are really friendly. But I know a big thing is made about the hot food by people but I just don't see it as being that good. Really not worth the money. But that is my opinion and doesn't mean it's right. But I still highly recommend the cakes and they tea and coffee.

After visiting the overly expensive Bents we decided to find a cafe nearby, and found the Victorian Tearooms in Glazebury, very quaint inside, lovely welcome from staff member, but I have to say the food really did let it down, which is a shame as it has great potential being so close to the very famous garden centre it really could take the overspill from there. We had a cheese and ham toastie which was dry toast with ham and a small amount of cheese inside...definitely not a toastie no toastie machine made that (with salad and cut up large chunks of well done toast (acting as croutons?) Very bizarre on top of the salad with was very uninviting. We also had an omelette. With added cheese and onion that we paid extra for again very little cheese and the size of a child's portion, same salad on the side with chunks of toast and 4 crisps. The drink was diet coke and cappuccino which were lovely. This really could be a 5 * establishment if they gave the hot food more attention, we can't comment on the cakes or other items on the menu. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the food, interior decor quaint and the lady who served us very lovely.Very sad to leave a poor review, it definitely could be amazing if they change how the food is prepared, cooked and presented

My first time in this lovely victorian tea room today with my mum, I loved the old-fashioned decor and the victorian sweet shop. I had plough mans lunch, mum had cheese and ham toastie... with a pot of tea....veryniceindeed..the staff were very friendly. The place was clean and well set up....I do feel that the only thing that spoiled it was the Halloween decor..... it took away the atmosphere of the tea room

Very quaint tearoom with decent food. I had quiche of the day which tasted home made. And I liked the look of my partner's home made soup.

Had a fantastic bridal shower at the tea room. The staff were really helpful, before during and after our event. They closed the tea room to the public and allowed me in early to decorate. They were really helpful and friendly, keeping us informed of what was happening with our food order (afternoon tea for 20!). They took some lovely group photos of us all too. Everyone said how lovely the food was and what a lovely time they'd had. Would definitely recommend

Had a veggie breakfast, eggs we ridiculously burnt on the bottom and the top of the egg was the same it left the shell, uncooked.Rest of the breakfast was ok but can't help but feel a cheap taste and dry.I were offered no sauce and couldn't see a waitress afterwards.Wanted a coffee and having waiting 5 mins for anyone to appear, i found the waitress who said she will get someone elses order first whilst serving oir breakfast instead of just taking both orders at once. However the was pleasant and let us know there would be a delay as it's fresh cooked.Overpriced for what it was. Wife ordered a special and it was very bland, almost no taste to the stuffing, chicken or sandwich in general with the tiniest amount of cranberry.

Afternoon Tea was booked as a surprise Mothers Day treat!! And what a treat it was!! The service was brilliant from start to finish and the food was delicious! The Scones were gorgeous and not dry! There was plenty of choice on the sandwich plate also. Highly recommend a pop in.
