Area Cars

Cost me £450. Missed train due to wrong car sent so ended up late for a train and had to buy a 2nd ticket also lost my days wage due to not being on time.. happy xmas... great driver but let down by the company.

Always on time good service

Always been very happy with Area Cars, but arrived back in Yorkshire at 2am, after a very delayed train. No answer when I repeatedly called. Not a 24 hour service, then!

Booked a taxi the night before I had work so it was booked. Got to the morning, taxi didn’t turn up on time, didn’t send me a text or anything like it usually does. Turned up after 15 minutes, but they sent a Jenny’s local car not area car. Asked him why he was late and he couldn’t give me a proper answer, I explained taxi company shouldn’t take bookings for a certain time if they’re not going to show up on time. By the time we set off I was already late for work, he then took the longest way to my work (I know the route very well) so it cost me £2.50 more than it should have done.So not only have I paid more money than usual I was also late for work so I’m losing out on money there. Not good enough!! Will not be using area cars again.

Best taxi base about, always quick for me as I’m a regular and always make me feel at ease when I travel with them at night, love u area cars xox

My 16yr old daughter booked a taxi home from work at night. The driver was asking inappropriate questions and made her feel really uncomfortable. He was blasting music, smoking and locked the doors. When she asked him to turn it down so that she could speak on the phone his response was no

I would avoid this company from now on having used them a number of times before. The track your taxi link they send is very good and I could see the taxi getting closer as it made it's way to the airport.Unfortunately, the driver of car 25 (Wasim) tried to charge an extra £5 on top of the fixed price quoted by the office for a pick up from Leeds/Bradford airport when even the pay online option was showing as £30.He tried to claimed the £5 pick up/drop off charge at the airport was not included in the fixed fee when it always had been previously.He got quite rude, abrupt and argumentative and this spoilt the end to what had been a good holiday. In the end I had to phone the office to confirm, they confirmed it was £30 as quoted.If you do intend to use Area Cars avoid car 25.

Very good taxi service - In the past I've always been an Uber user but I find these cheaper and often quicker too.. they also have a neat little tracker to see how far away your driver is. I always use these when in the local area.

Let my daughter set off on her way home to only then refuse to bring her all the way home because they won’t come in to Holmewood. Did not say that at the start of the journey. You book a taxi to take you from A to B. Done it countless times before but not today. Happily took her money though. What a joke!!! Left her stranded on Tong Street with all her luggage.
