Co-op Food - St Athan - Gileston Road

I was sat in my car earlier around 8:30pm tonight getting ready to do my shopping, until I overheard a rather heated argument from outside the store, and from what I have heard I will not be returning under any circumstances. One proportionately large member of staff who I presume is one of the managers was absolutely belting one of his workers with insults and I am almost positive I even saw this worker being spat at as he attempted to walk away when aggressively told to leave. As the young male walked away I witnessed the manager mutter something under his breath quite loudly which was an extremely serious use of vocabulary which I am not even comfortable stating on here, it was that severe. Learn how to treat your staff better, if this has happened right in front of my eyes outside the store I can only imagine what these poor members of staff deal with behind closed doors, I am absolutely appalled.

This is a great little shop, it has a limited range due to its size but a very helpful and friendly staff led by the manager Dan. There's always space to park in their car park.

Good selection of products, although it wouldn't suprise me if the staff had a marijuana plant in the back though.

Excellent shop, great offers, I can pick up the items that I need without going into a big shop. Staff are lovely and lead by s brilliant Manager in Daniel.

This place is a great little shop and certainly well needed in the area, it is no supermarket by any means but you can get most essentials here. The aisles are very narrow and feel like your on top of people if you need to pass them, thats the only drawback.

Always closed early. There opening times they have confirmed with Google are a complete lie. They are never open past 10 and sometimes close earlier than that

Quite expensive, but good for small quick shops. Popular brands often sold out, but often plenty of other options. Large car park so no issues there.A bit too much produce squeezed into a space too small for it. So although technically wheelchair friendly, a wheelchair would have no chance navigating the shop.Staff friendly and shop is clean, although very crammed and cluttered.

Dont say you close at at 10.00 pm when you close earlier people have spent Time coming to your store and ypur staff have closed and gone home eary !

What can I say it's a shop I found everything I needed found self service ok was in and out quickly and efficiently just will say it appears to now shut at 10pm NOT 11pm has previously done
