Very friendly, and explains super thoroughly. I'm very bad at maths but within only a month of having him I am already tackling questions that I would normally freeze up and panic upon seeing! He makes sure I fully understand the concept of behind why I am solving a question in that way, as opposed to just solving it. It really helps me apply my knowledge properly elsewhere!

My son had a few sessions with Mike before his Maths GCSE to help build confidence and clear up misconceptions. He was always well-organised and really effective in quickly getting to know the areas my son needed to focus on. Those few sessions really helped him secure the grade he needed.

A-level Maths tutoring. Mike was patient, calming and extremely encouraging the entire time he tutored with our son. They worked through papers together helping to grow our sons confidence in maths. He was always finding math problems to stretch and ensure concepts were understood. Always a pleasure to talk with and gave us regular feedback on how our son was progressing. We would not hesitate to recommend Mike for math tutoring.

So my son started with Mike just after Junior school and i can confidently say having private tuition for my son with Mike at a very early age is the best decision I ever made. In all his previous reports he never fell below a 7, he sat for his GCSE this year and everyone the boy to do Mike proud.

I was taught by Mike for a few months on OCR A-level Physics; I would say that it made a great impact seeing that I went from a B in my mocks to an A grade on results day. He is very patient and always knew how to help when I was struggling with specific topics. Mike will also be incredibly helpful with improving exam technique since he is a former examiner, therefore he is well-equipped with tips on how to approach a difficult question.
