Auchenblae Parish, Church
This is a fairly regular parish church, 200 years old, but has some wonderful attractions. St Palladius came here as a missionary in the 430s to work with the Picts. A chapel, built in the 15th century, is on site, with some wonderful tomb stones with striking carvings. Inside the church is a pictish stone, found in the 1787 but dating to the 8th century, carved with scenes of dogs and warriors with Celtic interlacing, as well as pictish symbols of double disk and Z rod. If you can get in to see the stone, it is a wonderful opportunity
