Glenroyd Medical Centre

I became a patient of this practice about 8 years ago and I am a 67 year old man. I cannot fault them they are professional and with the limited resources they have perform miracles. These people like all NHS staff are not paid nearly enough got the work they do and the crao they put up with. Thomas Murdock

Very rude unhelpful receptionists, couldn't care less attitude. Impossible to get an appointment. Used to be a great surgery but has plummeted downhill rapidly.

Excellent service from start to finish from the ACP to the doctor .Polite , attentive and good people skills ,Thank you .

I have negative experience with GP in this Medical Centre (Whitegate Centre). Mrs Jenny was very nice during the appointment, then she wrote down other information about me.

This surgery is lacking in so many areas it's impossible to list them all. We have complained officially at one point only to be told it wasn't an issue. Just rang to be told off I'd missed my appointment on 6th August however they had closed bith surgeries for training and hadn't let me know !

Worst ever Gp practice. Last winter I call them 100 times for my daughter they always ignoring me and giving me phone appointments

Absolutely shocking! I wish there was a zero star option! The doctors refuse to see their patients face to face even till now. They always have an excuse. When it’s an emergency they direct you to 111 and when it’s non emergency they refuse to see you. It is impossible to get an appointment. How is this still a medical centre? Why has the CQC not monitoring this? Where is the tax payer’s money going? How is this practice caring? shocking service and unfit for purpose. Avoid avoid avoid!

Got through to Louise to book an appointment on the phone today, very polite, listened and professional, helped with a second appointment, great improvement to previous person / persons below. ...........................A repeated second post.Really bad attitude when making appointments, the reception at Whitegate Drive along with staff are wonderful, but as soon as you have to speak to a really rude and nasty piece of work on appointments line they just make you angry. Please retrain or get rid of these staff who actually seem to enjoy being rude. Same person again makes a good surgery look awful on here.A repeated post. Good when you actually see a doctor,. Getting an appointment is applicable to a big lottery win. One star is for the total effort they put in to stop you actually seeing a doctor (sorry medical practitioner).Receptionist simply there to stop you seeing a doctor or medical practitioner and will do anything to achieve this. One is very bad (will not name incase of legal action). Please I beg you get new staff in on the phones so appointments can be made. There are none available online which they recommend patients to book.

Being a new patient at this practice I cannot believe how helpful the staff are. They are brilliant! I have even managed to get aface to face appt within a week.

The doctors themselves are all great. Doctor Taylor is fantastic and has helped me a great deal. Kathryn the secretary is brilliant at her job and I couldn't thank her enough for her professionalism and communication. I wouldn't take too much notice of the bad reviews. The staff do a great job with the facilities they have and during peak times are going to be stressed which is understandable.
