Leafy Fields Glamping
Lovely little glamping site in a lovely area. Was nice to have animals on site. We stayed in November which we found a bit too cold so we hope to return in the warmer months. The safari tent had everything we needed and there was nice little Halloween touches left for the kids. Very safe site for children, it's only a small site but has enough to keep the children occupied whilst parents can relax and watch the children play from the tents. We hope to return. Many thanks

We stayed in Fox tent over the Easter holidays. It has been an amazing time away. The tent itself was brilliant with lots of added luxuries like microwave, bedding, and even a hidden play den built in below a raised double bed!The site was super secure with lockable tent door, lockable balcony (with a mud kitchen which the kids loved) and then the site itself had a a double lock gate. The site was small but very cosy with animals to see (lambs, and horses) plus we got to walk the goats too!The site also has a play area and an SEN sensory room which was perfect for down time with my 3 ASD children.Dannie and Andrew were so helpful in helping us make great choices when going out for the day. Their recommendations on places to eat and where to go took lots of stress out of finding suitable places with children with Autism.I would highly recommend Leafy Fields Glamping site.

Hi I apologise this maybe a long review but I also hope it's helpful to other people !Well I cannot even tell you this has been the best bank holiday weekend me and my family have ever had. After a 6 hour (yes it was supposed to only take 3 hours but traffic) we were all very fed up but on arrival all our stresses went away. we found ourselves in the most amazing place. surrounded by the lovely country air and animals we had booked the fox safari tent and we were so amazed with it. there's decking with a mud kitchen and a 6 person wooden table and mini kitchen and 2 sofas. then there's bunk beds, king bed and a king loft bed above a play room. the bathroom has a toilet and a luxury shower which lights up. there's lights and a heater and we were comfortable even though it was only April. there was a train set in the playroom and a skittles set for the children to use outside. there was a welcome pack with tea, coffee, juice and chocolates. we booked a place for our dog and hired bbq and fire pit. there was a welcome pack for our dog with all the things you might need like poo bags, bowls, towel, bed mat and even some treats and doggy wine. Next to fox tent as well as by the play park there's little fenced off areas for dogs to be off lead. the fire hire included marshmallows for the kids to make s'mores and we enjoyed it so much we got another one for night 2 one pack is enough wood for one night. we woke up Saturday morning and j was just humbled by the view I just felt totally at peace. there are only a couple of tents/huts on site and it means there will only ever be a few families around and compared to caravan sites where we have been before our kids have just been totally stressed and overwhelmed here they were so happy that I didn't want to leave. we took part in extra activities such as sheep feeding, goat walking and pony grooming. Andrew and dannie and their children are so welcoming and understanding we have a lot of challenges having a holiday with 4 send children and they really 'got it' and we didn't feel judged in anyway like we have at other places. on Sunday they were even kind enough to surprise us with an easter egg hunt. we also went to the beach as well which was 40 minutes drive. we stayed 3 nights so bedding was included. we could definitely have stayed longer. we also had the sensory room for day which was lovely there was a hanging chair , a tepee, wobble board, bubble lamp , projector and lots of autism friendly books I've now added to my wish list. the play park has disability friendly swings and a slide with a bucket and play pit balls which they play with the rope and bucket . I felt so safe that my children couldn't get out of the front gate . thank you again Andrew, dannie and your children and animals ❤️ x

I'm just back from a lovely Bank Holiday stay with my two children in Crivens (the shepherd's hut). My son is autistic and it made a huge difference to visit somewhere where his needs were understood. We were able to access the sensory room, which was a great addition to the holiday, and my daughter loved visiting the animals. From my point of view, having a secure site was a huge relief and I feel able to give both children more freedom than they'd normally have. The accommodation was in good condition and more than met our needs. We hope to be back soon with my husband as well, and already have our eye on Badger and its hot tub!

This is our second time staying as a couple at Leafy Fields and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Criven’s is an adorable shepherd’s hut which makes for quirky but luxurious accommodation. It kept us lovely and warm as storm Noa raged outside! The site is also beautiful - well maintained and all the friendly animals contribute to making Leafy Fields a special and unique site. A truly restful stay in peaceful Devon. We will certainly be back!

Oh my goodness, this place was absolutely perfect for our little family. We stayed in Badger which is an amazing safari tent - extremely well equipped and comfortable whilst still feeling like you are camping. The beds were super comfortable (my autistic son LOVED his bed in a cupboard he actually spent a lot of time in there!) The little thoughtful touches are everywhere eg plushies and a train set to play with, the under bed play den, fairy lights. All so very cozy. We really enjoyed having a camp fire with the fire pit and marshmallow kit and a BBQ the next night. I loved sitting on the veranda reading a book, playing guitar and watching the sun set.Leafy Fields is run by a wonderful family who we met on our first day. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming and extremely neuro-diversity friendly as they too know how hard it is to find somewhere to holiday where the focus is on acceptance. We loved meeting you all and are incredibly grateful for such a special weekend and much needed respite. The farm animals at Leafy Fields are all such adorable characters too! We loved the rams, Hector and Colin. The boys enjoyed their morning interacting with the animals so much - my autistic son was so calm and engaged it was amazing to see. The children loved spending time with the horses, sheep, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs. And I can't forget to mention Bobbie the cat who is quite the most friendly cat in the world. My son is missing you very much Bobbie and we will be back to see you again soon.

We had a lovely family visit to Leafy Fields. We stayed in Badger, which is a lovely spacious safari tent. My daughter really enjoyed the high up cabin bed.The owners were helpful and friendly. They advised us of some great places to eat and visit. The site is clean and tidy, with lots of things for the kids to keep themselves occupied. We bought a breakfast package as well which was amazing with the cutest little quails eggs!

We have just returned from 4 nights staying in Crivens, the cosy shepherds hut, and what a fantastic time we’ve had! My 2 ASD children loved the freedom of being able to run around and play on the lovely grassy areas, not being too close to other families. The animals were lovely, and the facilities were perfect. The Tuesday SEN group was lots of fun, and my children loved the sensory room and outside play area. We felt very secure with the large locked gates entrance, and felt welcomed by the owners, their children and their very friendly cat! Lots to do nearby (Diggerland, Bear Town and Devon Railway centre were our faves!)Would love to stay again in one of the other accommodations on site.

Our second visit to Leafy Fields and once again it did not disappoint.Andrew and Dannie are so welcoming and there’s real attention to detail. The safari tents are comfortable and well equipped.Holidaying with children who have ASD / ADHD is never easy but at Leafy Fields we can relax knowing that the children are safe and can’t escape! Our son was so happy going to bed at night knowing Bobby was asleep outside his tent. Bobby never disappointed and would stay the whole night! So nice to be around people that understand the needs of your children.Andrew was amazing when our son was dysregulated and anxious.Love the goat walking!Keep doing what you’re doing Andrew and Dannie - you’re amazing!
