Today I took my children to one of the free workshops being ran over the school holidays. They made a picture frame and decorated it with pyrography all under the expert eyes of the staff. Children both loved it (8 year old boy & 11 year old girl) and I had to drag them out of there. Can’t wait for the next ones.

Dear Sir or MadamI have used Axminster tools for a number of years now and would recommend them to anyone, not only trades people, but members of the General public. The staff are first class, most courteous and helpful and that is rare in this day and age, with most organistaions operate with a take it or leave it attitude.I have difficulty walking now and the lads and girls in your store re always willing to go and select what I want simply to view it.I can't rate them high enough.Pass on my compliments to all your staff.RegardsJohn W Jordan

The Newcastle store has put an amazing effort into woodturning. With various demonstrators attending and also their Tuesday turning sessions.I would like to thank the team for another great day yesterday for the boarder woodturners open day. As usual the facilities were spot on, staff were on point and you could tell how much effort went in to make the day what it was. The store was very generous with the raffle prizes and also with the money raised going 50/50 to boarder woodturners and a charity.Well done and keep up the great work supporting woodturning.

Excellent choice of wood working tools & equipment backed up with sound advice from knowledgeable staff. Sure you may get it cheaper online from somewhere else but that won't get you guaranteed quality or advice on what you think you want is actually the best buy for what you need. Support local, buy from shops.

Just like every other Aldi really. But watch out for Sue on the tills!Pros:- Large parking area with many disabled spaces- clean- in a good areaCons:- a lot of out of stock items- limited stock (other stores have more)- sometimes the staff are hit and miss, some are great but when they're on tills their different people but I can appreciate that not all customers are pleasant. That being said, there's always one staff on tills (blonde and a bit older) who is always miserable, we now have a challenge to make her smile but she literally just throws your item at you.Overall, good store, specific stock can be hard to find and your experience might be ruined by the grumpy lady on tills ha!
