Arrived with my children for a lovely costal walk . Dog dirt is every three steps. It is everywhere. Non if the dog owners have their dogs on leads and one person was walking 6 dogs without leads which terrified my daughter. Of which as you would expect the dogs were dirtying everywhere and nothing was picked up. It's just a dirty dirty walk . Very disappointed.

Once on this walk you feel miles away from civilisation even though it's just the other side of the dunes. Might be busier in Summer months or warmer weather.

Just walked this area with my wife as we looked for wildlife. Unfortunately it has become the locals dog toilet and we had to look down all the time to avoid the dog mess left. Even saw a paid dog Walker with a pack of 5 dogs off lead ! Local council need to do something. Will not visit again.

This is a lovely Stroll amongst the Sand Dunes just outside Southport.
There is all sorts of wildlife to be seen here throughout the year from various seabirds to the rare and protected Natterjack Toad. Marc Almond’s album of the same name was also named after this area. It is a fairly easy walk and there is limited free parking near the roundabout.

Fantastic trail with amazing views and an abundance of wildlife. Small car park at the entrance to the trail.
