Loved it. Have been years ago when the karts were petrol. These new karts are electric and far better to drive. A Lower level track with ramps up to an upper level for 2 stages of twists and corners. Marshals, flags, lights, auto timing system logs your lap times. Very much enjoyed the whole experience. If you choose Combat Karts it’s like Super Mario for real. Drive through the power up lights on the track and get power ups to boost your car, fire a missile at other karts or drop a bomb. Very addictive excellent fun.The bar area also has a few amusements and machines like bowling, air hockey, basketball ball. Race track windows to watch the current race while eating and drinking.

Tyre upgrades (Dec 23) are a total game changer and add 10x to the experience.vSlip and slide sensation is gone and you can finally get your power to the ground. This took lap time from 42s to 34s. Staff are always great, flags are fair and the karts are a joy.One criticism would be the sharpness of the turns in the track and the reduced length to accommodate the Combat Karts track. The ability to open" the track up to include both parts for some races would really add to the experience."

Recently been here for a work event. I had a great time. The karts were good and quick for the size of the track. The track was very hard at first because it has a few slippery corners. Once you go around a few laps and get the hang of it, the fun level increases loads! Ryan was helping us through out session, he does q great job with it. Highly recommended for a group event.

Really disappointed - we have loved previous visits to TeamSport Reading but you have ruined it with recent changes. First, the polished concrete floor was absurdly slippery. Every single one of the drivers in the briefing had driven karts before, and 75% or so had been to TeamSport Reading so they were experienced. Yet more than 3/4 of the laps in both our sessions were halted with yellow flags because drivers could not help but crash on many of the tight corners given the grip levels. Also, the decision to reduce the track by roughly half is very disappointing - it was always a tight track which made it somewhat tricky to overtake cleanly. But now it is even shorter and tighter there are inevitable collisions on corners and some drivers aren't shy about using other karts to 'help them round'.On a positive note the new electric karts are tremendous and very comfortable. Given their torque I think it is all the more important to solve the traction issue and change from the polished concrete floor.Overall I will not be returning to TeamSport Reading unless these issues are addressed. A real shame.EDIT - I was contacted by TeamSport head office on Sunday and was given a full refund. The person was interested in my comments and was glad for the feedback. He offered the refund without asking me to amend this review. Overall I believe TeamSport are a high quality organisation and I have faith that the Reading issues will be solved in due course.

Reading Track changeOh dear! Reading, once a great track. (3 floors and 900 meters in length)But since a revamp, which i agree was needed, the track has been reduced to 450 meters and only 2 floors. Track lay out is very uninspiring and slippery. The new karts are good but wasted at this venue, they should be used at a more challenging site. The 1+ is that the staff are amazing, always helpful and informative.

Fantastic evening. Staff tried really hard to make our visit the best. We found ourselves in a session with a bunch of younger kids who were having lots of crashes and stop-starts. Before we had left the pits, the staff had moved the two of us to the next session with people more of our own ability and thrown in an extra session. Couldn't have asked for more. Really upped your game recently reading branch. We'll be back 8-)

Combat carts was great fun for a group to get together regardless of experience. Brings everyone together and bun he's them up have more competition - levelling then playing field.

Attended the track for a company team-building exercise and not disappointed, although finding the venue was a bit of an adventure. You need to stop in front of the imposing metal gates and wait for the metal gates to open into the enclosed car park. I would suggest you wear flat soled shoes and you have binge watched the recent F1 season beforehand so you pick-up the basics of racing. We stayed for food afterwards but was disappointed with the service. We had to wait almost 50 minutes for the order to be completed, seemingly as there was only one poor woman in the kitchen who was quickly overwhelmed.

Been here previously when the karts were still petrol and had a lot of fun. However last visit was very disappointing with the new track layout 20% shorter that previously. I don’t think there was 1 full lap where no amber or red lights were on. There was a lot of young teenagers on a session named “adult”. New karts are accelerating a bit faster than the petrol ones but do not have the same amount of feedback so overall disappointing and will not be coming back.
