My husband suffered a stroke in March 2022 and physically he recovered quickly however it left Brian with aphasia which impacted his ability to speak and understand what others say and his ability to read and write and use numbers however his intelligence wasn’t affected inside he was still the funny chatty man I married and whilst together we can understand each other using a communication cues we needed help for Brian to progress to the next level.We made a decision that Brian needed further help and this is were we found Amber Masterton online and she has been working with Brian since February 2023 using Apps like CueSpeak on the iPad and also involving Cue cards featuring close family members and tasks .Amber has a deep knowledge and inventive use of alternative ways to help increase Brian’s articulacy and he appreciates these little things ,that he has learnt from Amber whenever Amber is round for the session I hear them chatting away and laughing and joking she is a warm and kind person who has bucket loads of patience. Ongoing she has set Brian a detailed weekly homework plan which he completes in his own time – something he would have never done if I had suggested itAmber has really helped Brian with his conversational skills so much so that family and friends comment on the difference .Thank you so much Angie & Brian Mullen August 2023

Amber supported my father following an aphasia diagnosis after a stroke. I would fully recommend her. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy. She was able to sensitively, yet effectively, challenge hospital practice to ensure my father received the best speech and language care enabling maximum progress through all SALT sessions - not just her own. Her sessions were thorough and enjoyable. She liaised with our family throughout when our father was finding communication difficult. This feedback was welcomed at such a difficult time. Most importantly she was friendly and approachable and our father enjoyed sessions and got on well with her as a therapist. I have no hesitation in recommending Amber.
