Delightful stop, we purchased smoked sea trout, salmon ,salmon pate and oat cakes for an impromptu picnic, all of which were exquisite !

What not to say. A fantastic source of wonderful smoked fish and other seafood. Derek, the owner, is super friendly and welcoming. After buying you can sit looking over the water.

At first we weren't sure we were in the right place as we drove up the driveway and saw someones private home. Then we saw the sign directing us to the smokehouse in the back garden.Absolutely fantastic produce. We brought a few things, we were like children in a smoke House sweetshop.  Cold smoked salmon with rum, hot Smoked salmon, hot Smoked trout, smoked butter and the smoked Highland cheddar.All of them were absolutely delicious.We stopped and ate some of what we'd brought whilst there using one of their picnic benches looking at the beautiful view. We didn't have cutlery and kindly they gave us a paper plate and a disposable knife so we didn't have to use our hands. (Made spreading the gorgeous smoked butter easier)After we had tried the hot Smoked trout we went back and got some more. We got several fantastic lunches out of what we purchased, enjoying them whilst touring the NC500. Had we had use of a fridge for our whole trip I would have cleared out the counter.Loved everything we tasted and can thoroughly recommend a stop off here and fulfilling your craving for quality tasty smoked products.Excellent and thank you for helping us out with the paper plates and knife. If ever we are in the area again we will most certainly pay you a visit.

Delicious hot smoked salmon and local Brie. We brought our own crackers and sat looking out at the lovely view.

Nice wee smokehouse, hidden away at the back of the owners own dwelling.I bought hot smoked trout which was delicious and some smoked sea-salt which is a luxury pantry add-on for soups and stews.Owner wasn't around, but the working part of the smokery was open and a quick shout of 'shop' brought him round to help me.There's a cracking view from the front garden too!

I cycled past the Applecross Smokehouse in early-May 2019 while doing a wee tour of the west coast, in fine weather, and picked up a little hot smoked salmon to eat on the north shore of Upper Loch Torridon.
