Great variety of foods and bulk items at excellent prices. Very friendly service, Mr. Motala has even ordered in what I needed and delivered it for free to us! It's been real blessing to find this shop!

Always helpful staff, well stocked shop with huge range of spices and seasonings not found elsewhere. Also, we tried their butcher's at last visit and the lamb was the best I've tasted for years. As a farmer's daughter I know good quality meat, and this was excellent. 5 stars all round.

On my first visit, the usual chap on the tills offered great customer service.Today, he was being rude and deliberately unhelpful.Your choices encouraged me not to come back, for anything you're selling, and if you carry on treating even the odd customer like this, it could become a trend.If you want to discuss this, feel free to get in touch.

Amazing array of produce and a real gem in Gloucester. I used the app ‘Too good to go’ and they allowed you to take a box to fill up from really good fresh veg for just £4!Helpful friendly staff and a great find!Parking is a little tricky as it’s a residential area.

Prices are very good compared to other Indian grocers. Just sad their variety is not what i expected. But hopefully this will improve going forward.

Worst customer service I've experienced in my life. Went to get a jar of pickle, took it and went to the counter. There was no one at the counter, so I tried calling out, after which a bearded guy came out from the side and asked me to go to the counter. I said that there was no one at the counter and he got mad for some reason, snatched the jar from my hands and asked me to go to another shop. I was quite taken aback and didn't really understand why he got mad. I don't know if he he had any mental issues, but still, you shouldn't have such people handling customers at shops.

Absolutely fantastic family run shop. Has served the community for over 55 years. It’s a one stop shop for all your grocery needs.Very wide range of products.Customer service is second to none. If there were 6 stars I would give them.I would not shop anywhere else.

Avoid this shop at all costs. I have never in my life experienced such terrible customer service and basic respect. Shocked and disgusted with the way this man owner treats customers. Absolutely appalling behaviour and he should be utterly ashamed of himself. This shop used to be very busy, and now you go in there and can hear a penny drop. Rightfully so, I have personally heard of many, many experiences from people over the years of the owner’s behaviour. I truly wonder why this business is failing!

I probably only shop at Motala a couple of times a year but have bulk bought spices there for 15+ years. They are always the most helpful and attentive people. Brilliant shop, visit and you will agree!
