When walking or cycling north from Bute Park on the Taff Trail you will see a gatehouse after which there is an area of tall trees known as Gabalfa Woods.Romantically, it might have been once a vast wild area dotted with small dwellings but progress marches on. The large retail park and the building the the Gabalfa estate north not the A48 means it is just a small wildlife corridor that joins the city centre park to the green spaces in Llandaff via an underpass under the road.Hugging the river it has plenty of birdsong and quiet spots along with a dirt track and area for kids to practice jumping thier bikes over mounds of earth on the other side of the main path.

A beautiful tree lined walk besides the river taff. Lots of room for cyclists and walkers.
