Sunday lunch. Food ok but underwhelming. Unusual presentation style, big empty gaps on plates. No vegetables or garnish served with fish and chips and when requested was given sprouts and carrots. The roasts were enjoyed by the rest of the party.Staff friendly. I got the feeling the food was not prepared by a fully qualified chef, I may be wrong.

Had fish and chips which were awful. Fish was really overcooked chips looked like they'd been fried and refried and were soggy and not pleasant at all. When the plates were cleared the person didn't question why I'd left so much and to be honest I should have said something but we were there in a large group and it wasn't until we'd all left I found out that I wasn't the only one disappointed. They should have seen that the food wasn't good without me saying so.

Fabulous Sunday lunch, good quality wine, coeliac options fabulous including gravy, Yorkshire pud and sticky toffee pudding . Great VFM. Try it you won't be disappointed.

They've lost their chef, so have volunteers at the moment till the new one starts. Previous chef did a range of lovely food including vegan. We shall wait see what the new chef offers, sometime middle November.

We drove past the sign for the pub on the A47 and thought we would give it a try. Thursday evening stopped for a drink and dinner. I had Moussaka and feta cheese salad and my husband had Macaroni Cheese with ham, pepper and sweet corn with a salad and garlic bread. Both meals were delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent.

What a lovely place to visit for food. Very well looked after and grandad at 90 loved the place. All went home very full. For a fussy ale drinker they even had one for me. We will be going back

So good I visited on consecutive days! Great pub close to Peddars Way. Good choice of hearty food and fine beer welcome after long days exploring by bike. Friendly service and mesmerising art of QE2 stamp in the bar, about 1m tall!

To be honest, we just nipped here for a quick drink, and we are so glad we did it was a cold winter night. The fire was roaring, and the whole place looked very festive .we will definitely be back as the menu looked lush .If you are on the a47, please turn off to Sporle and call in. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
