Handwriting Support

Selene has been working with my 6 year old son, his handwriting has improved immensely. His writing was illegible and many numbers and letters backwards, we have seen a huge improvement in both his handwriting and confidence. Selene is very patient, kind, caring and makes the lessons fun.

Selene has been really fantastic with our son. He really looks forward to his classes and his handwriting is so much better.

As a child who missed the first steps of formal handwriting education in pre-school and reception due to the covid years, our son was stuck with writing in Y1. His grip was the whole fist, he lacked strength on the fingers and had developed a negative attitude towards writing. As parents, we realised he needed dedicated and professional support beyond what the school could provide.When we heard about Selene's work through a school newsletter we contacted her immediately. Her soft and personalised methods, like feeling relaxed and using games, appealed to our son right away. Seeing Selene's beautiful reef tank was an extra treat that our son also looked forward to every week.After a year of attending sessions, our son gained the confidence to continue developing his handwriting by himself. By the end of Y2, he had caught up with his English grade expectations. We are hugely thankful to Selene for her dedication and effort.

We are very grateful to Selene for all she has done to help our son with his handwriting and he enjoys his tuition sessions with her. He recently received a ‘Star of the Week’ certificate at school for demonstrating so much growth with his handwriting. It is wonderful to see him now writing cursively with pride and confidence.
