Had a fantastic experience with Jacqui and the team moving just a few miles from my home in Bury. Initital quote was done in person after a walk through talking through any issues and points of note.Followed up 1 week pre move by delivering 40+ packing crates i needed for the move based on Jacqui's walkthrough (spot on)We then have the day itself when the team showed up and were extermely helpful, prioritising what was being moved and in what order, shifting the extremely heavy sets of weights i had accumulated, and emptying a terraced house of 10 years of belongings in around 90 mins! They then sought shelter nearby for the 2.5 hour wait until the keys to the new house became available and did the entire thing in reverse, damaging not a single item and doing it all with a joke and a smile on their face!wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Fantastic team of people.

Fantastic company, they have moved me on multiple occasions and each time they have been helpful and lovely. Not a single complaint to give. They are very efficient and they made each move (as well as me having a small child) so much easier and quicker. Cannot recommend them enough

I hate to have to leave negative reviews but unfortunately in this instance I feel it's necessary.Whilst the team moving us were all great, really friendly and very efficient, my issue is surrounding damage to my front door that was sustained during the move, I have close up photos with the door in from prior to the move due to another issue that I needed fixing and there was no damage. I've spoken to P&M Movers about this and their stance is that it's not their problem as their insurance only covers items damage whilst in transit. If you don't have any bulky items to move then I'm confident that these guys would be great to use, however based on this experience I have to give 2 stars... If it wasn't for the guys who carried out the move this would be a 1 star review based on me now having to pay for a new door.

Superb.P&M Movers are excellent.First of all, out of the numerous companies I enquired with, Jacqui was the only one who bothered to physically come and survey the job in order to price it up correctly. Then they turned out to be the cheapest quote as well!On the day of the move they were fantastic. Angie, Lizze and Gatesy were superb, highly professional and super efficient, but down to earth and personable at the same time. We were packed up in no time and on the move, and on the whole, what is supposed to be a stressful day was completely stress free and was actually enjoyable as the guys were so friendly and we enjoyed having a laugh with them at the same time.Couldnt reccomend these guys enough!

Excellent company. Removed our supported living tenancy consisting of 3x adults twice in the space of 3 months. Great value for money with an excellent and respectful staff team, very hard working and really happy to accommodate any requests: won’t hesitate to use them again

P&M Movers provided an excellent service and proved to be flexible and conscientious. They emptied our semi-detached house in excellent time and delivered it all safely to storage. Certainly plan to hire them again.

We would highly recommend Jacqui and her team for our recent house move. Jacqui was quick to respond and always gave clear communication. It was by far the best price we were quoted but didn’t alter the quality of the job they provided! The team were all super friendly on the day of the move and patient while we waited to get into our new property.Nothing was too much hassle, very adaptable and a good laugh.Thank you for making it easy for us on what could have been a very stressful day!

Unprofessional serviceWhen they arrived, they did not use suitable packaging etc which lead to 7 items of furniture being damaged in the move (not all of this was flat pack furniture some being from Barker and Stonehouse which was damaged) The damaged flat pack furniture was not due to being flat pack and not going back correctly, it was damaged due to poor handling and assemblingAfter many times contacting back and forth they sent someone out to try to fix the problem with white nail varnish which we wouldn’t not accept this was a suitable repair. They then refused to do anything and we proceeded to take them to the small claims courtWe went to small claims where we were awarded compensation for the damaged furniture. There is a clause in paperwork to say they would only pay £40 for each item of furniture damaged – lucky we were not given this paperwork by P&M movers so received more than the £40 per item. After the claim was successful, they only paid half the amount on time. From our experience we will not be using this company again as they did not follow their own procedures set out in the offer letter and did not carry out a professional service

Customer beware: unprofessional and unprepared. We chose P&M movers because they did a survey of the job in person before offering the quote and because their website puts emphasis on their military ties and experience, so as a serving military family, we had high hopes. We have been moved by the military 8 times and have a strong grasp on the process.P&M Movers are not to the standard of other movers we have used. They did not lay anything down to protect the floors at either location (one a military quarter where we are charged for soiled carpets) despite it raining all day both days and the floors in both properties becoming filthy. They declined two requests to put anything down on wet tile floor for safety, until their own workforce had skidded several times. They did not wrap any of our furniture, including vintage wooden items we asked them to take special care with, despite there being woolen blankets unused, on the wagons. This company uses stackable plastic grocery crates instead of cardboard boxes. The crates are open and uncovered meaning our belongings were not protected from the weather or dirt. Moreover, the movers only wrapped the kitchenware. They put fragile ornaments in crates with books and DVDs without any padding. The company attempted to load our board game collection without packaging or crates. We had to insist they package the board games. We were packed over two days; they ran low on crates the first day. On the second day, they failed to bring additional crates. When questioned about this, they threatened to charge us for going over their standard hours to fetch more, quoting their contract. At several points they referenced clauses that did not exist on the contract we signed. They charge £1 per crate safety deposit until the crates are returned after the move. The movers were reluctant to take a count of the crates or to provide a receipt for the deposit. They failed to move our trampoline because they didn’t bring large enough wagons, despite having viewed it before the move, and having the chance to bring a bigger van the second day.In the end we had to finish the move ourselves with the help of friends and hired vans, which is not something I expect to do after hiring professionals. The owner’s son was offensive in his remarks, including the accusation that despite being in his 12th year of active service, my husband is not a proper soldier (this from someone who never served). He declared it is far too easy for immigrants to come into the UK by marriages of convenience, while speaking to an immigrant who stayed in this country because she married a British man. He also insulted the architecture and education levels in my home nation without having been there. In short, he was ignorant and rude.If you want a local company to throw a few things in crates and drive them down the road in a white van, P&M Movers may be a good fit. If you have a large job that needs handling professionally, go elsewhere.
