Excellent product for those with solar panels and an immersion heater. Free hot water and lower energy bills, it's a no-brainer.Good customer service too, ours started glitching after a few years, 10 year warranty meant a return for repair was offered with the option of an updated product at a much reduced price.Communication was good too, prompt response to messages and swift despatch of our replacement.Recommended.

Great kit from Earthwise!I have been using Solic 200 wireless last 2 years. Had technical question and they got back to me super fast with great advice.We have saved a lot of money using this kit heating our Hot Water Cylinder.Keep up great work guys!

We purchased the Solic 200 a few years ago. It is a fantastic little device that does exactly what we had hoped, thus saving us a fortune in gas bills!I had a few questions after setting it up to ensure I had it set up correctly and these were answered by Iain in a patient and informative manner.I was left feeling very satisfied that I had invested in a well designed product that worked very well indeed, backed up by excellent support.Very pleased and have recommended the product to several friends and family.

I’ve not had my night element on for 3 months now so far, and have had a full tank of hot water dailyBecause you’ve priced it well my ROI is much lower than your competitors which was one of the main reasons for picking the solicI have a 6.64kw system and 10.6kwh of battery storage. I had read that the solic sometimes uses the battery to heat the water, and after contacting yourselves I was given a good explanation of why this might / might not happen. In my experience it very rarely uses the battery and because of the array size and my location I always go into the summer evenings with a full battery…..No complaints from me. I did have an issue with my Solic 200 Unit but Iain replied to my emails and assisted me very quickly. He was professional & polite in how he communicated with me. I had a new unit in my hands in Northern Ireland inside 24 hours, and it was installed asap. Nothing lost! I was very impressed with the Customer service.Naturally I would recommend having a Solic unit as it's a great saving on the Hot water bills.

Solic 200 seems to be the only product. No idea whether it works or not but if you have a query and need to be insulted and patronised then try contacting Ian on sales@ or phone. I am giving it a try but if you have a solar thermal system then this device is likely to be of very marginal usefulness. It is not “free electricity” as you will be losing out on feedback tariff every time it switches on. I am trying it out on the basis that during spring and autumn, when there are sunny cold days, useful heat being generated will outweigh the loss in feedback tariff. In summer it will be switched off, in mid winter too little solar energy is generated to make any real difference. The one star is for unacceptably poor customer services. If it works well I will amend.

Amazing product. Easy to install. Well designed. Instantly converts your surplus solar PV energy into free hot water in your hot water cylinder via the immersion heater. My boiler is now off for, hopefully, a long time. Marks: 12/10!

Fitted a Solic 200 to my solar system five years ago. It has worked faultlessly since. It must have paid for itself many times over. Easy to install if you follow the instructions. Have recommended it to many friends. A standard hot water cylinder can store 6.25KWh of energy. Heating hot water is a far better and cheaper way of storing your surplus energy compared with purchasing a battery and saves the environment.

Solic 200 has been working brilliantly with my solar PV system for a couple for years now. No problems at all. The big benefit is that it is NOT wireless. I can see a huge difference in efficiency compared with the previous wireless system that was installed. That wireless system didn't really work in our cloudy climate, the delays switching in and out were too long. The Solic 200 by comparison is instant making best use of generated power. Very highly recommended to all with SolarPV.

In summary, I cannot recommend this product, as the Solic 200 has failed on three occasions since first being installed on 29/10/19, as per details below.The longevity and quality of the product concerns me greatly, and my view is this should be replaced without charge.However, a replacement option is not acceptable to Earthwise Products (EP) as communicated by Iain CM McRitchie, FCCA, Director, and I have been offered either:• A new unit without a sensor, as I can use my existing sensor, for £125 including the VAT and delivery. The new unit price is normally £215, or,• return the unit and Earthwise Products will then test, repair, and return to me for free under the warranty. I will need to arrange uninstalling and then reinstallation of the unit in this case and EP need up to 4 weeks to test, repair and return the unit to me.I note that I was advised that my latest failure was due to a faulty batch of circuit boards, however, I also note that a poor product review on Facebook (dated 20/7/21), has a comment posted 47 weeks ago noting that their failed product was also caused by a faulty batch of circuit boards, which only adds to my concerns for the longevity and quality of the product.29/10/19 - Solic 200 Installed28/02/21 - Solic 200 failed.
