FG Barnes Vauxhall Guildford

Absolutely appalling. Waited 5 hours for my service to receive a phone call they don't have the parts and want to keep the vehicle another day, a phone call at the start of the day would have been great instead I wasted my day, whilst collecting the vehicle I had to return as warning lights came up on the dash board which was never there before, garage was not really interested, managed to get the lights cleared by googling. Avoid.

We made a 45minute (each way) journey to view a car today, having arranged childcare for our eldest and bringing our young baby with us for the duration. When we arrived we quickly found out the vehicle mileage was over 10k more than advertised. If we had known this we wouldn’t have come, as that was not what we want for the advertised price. They were apologetic and offered a small discount on the car but a lot more could have been done to engage with us and potentially secure a sale (such as offering to review the price with other like for like online to ensure it’s competitive, throwing in getting the cambelt/drive belt done etc to relay any fears around the higher than advertised mileage…..also offering a drink wouldn’t have gone amiss either). It’s a shame as it effectively wasted half of our day.

I bought a car from the Maidstone branch in August. At the time the service book was mislaid. It then appeared in the post showing different mileage. I was sold the car with 6571 on the clock but the previous two services show a higher mileage. Despite numerous phone calls and emails I just get told everyone is busy. At the moment I have a car I wouldn’t be able to sell as it all looks very dodgy. Shocking after sales service! I will not be using them again.

We brought our Vauxhall Mokka in 2019. The car itself served us well and we enjoyed driving it.Unfortunately our experience with FG Barnes Guildford was poor. We were promised a service book as our car didn't come with one, despite reminding multiple members of staff when coming in for a service, emailing and calling this was never resolved. We were also promised a spare tyre and this never materialised. The service paperwork given to us was incomplete which has impacted us at the end of our agreement.Everytime I went in for a service it was 3/4hr waits in which I had no choice other than to stay in the showroom. After a service I took the car home and was called a week later about the part they ordered to replace - this was never mentioned and resulted in another trip back to the showroom.When it came to the end of our agreement we went back to FG Barnes to look at options for selling the car, they offered us a very low price. Because we were missing the service book, spare tyre and parts from the inflating system out car ended up being priced lower than it was worth.Whilst I understand this environment is fast paced and things slip through the net this experience is unacceptable. It felt like as soon as you got the sale from us everything else was too much effort or not important.We have since brought a used car and would no longer look at buying new, via PCP or at vauxhall again.

The staff are very efficient and professional. I can always hire a courtesy car when mine has to go in for its service Mike the SeviceManager is very helpful. Professional and friendly. I would never take my car anywhere else.

Horrific service. They were unable to find basic engine parts for a 10 year old Vauxhall Zafira. They had my car for a month. They could not have cared less. They were impossible to get hold of on the phone. They were just hopeless. Avoid at all costs.
