Disgusting charity!I was 22 and had just lost my mum (i had lost my father a couple of years previously, both to cancer).My mum had received a cheque and i called to ask what to do with it. The way the lady that answered the phone spoke to me was beyond belief, she was so rude and abrupt, at no point did she ask how i was doing after i told her my mum had just died, there was no concern shown at all. I work in a customer based job and its rare that i am ever spoken to like this dealing with angry customers never mind in a situation where i called to ask for help.People who answer the phones or staff in general need to be trained how to deal with grief or people in vulnerable situations.Im 28, this happened 6 years ago and to this day i cannot get over the way I was spoken to!!
