Telephone Engineer

We are just redecorating our hallway and had telephone wires everywhere. 2 sockets; one not in use but appeared to be connected to the one we were using. I couldn't see why they were connected together and there seemed to be a dialing tone but would not connect. I wasn't sure who to call so did a bit of research and liked what Paul said on his website.It is difficult to choose as you never know if someone will live up to what they say. I called him on his mobile and tried to explain what I wanted. He asked a few questions then quoted me a price as he said it sounded though it was a bit complex it was just sorting one socket and checked I was happy with his quote before he arranged a time to come and check it out.He said he should be able to come the next morning. He ended up being delayed on a job so called that morning to check if it was ok to change to the following morning.He arrived, asked again what I was hoping to achieve and told me to leave him to it for a short time while he thoroughly checked what was coming from where - it was a bit of a complicated mess as we had at one time been with BT, then Sky and now Virgin. We also had connections to now unused sockets throughout the house going along under the radiator and outside. My hope and reason for calling was that we could reduce or tidy the cables in the hallway. We only have a small hallway and the cables looked very untidy.Once he had checked it all out he came up with a plan which was to move the telephone to the living room and then do away with ALL the wires in the hallway. He took a while so he could figure out what was leading to where and asked lots of questions to make sure we didn't have any usable sockets elsewhere. He got to work to sort it all out (even had to go and get some extra cable half way through) He has just left and am delighted. Is all I now have is a blank and neat socket in the hallway, just in case we ever need to use it again. The main one was moved to the living room hidden behind furniture and now the phone is actually much more conveniently situated, The wires are all gone in the hallway which looks so much better, ready for decoration next week. It is also neater outside as we have been able to do away with a lot of untidy cables. So I initially called him on Tuesday and he came and had a look and sorted it all today (Thursday)He kept to his original quote so I gave him a little extra for his time as he certainly did more than he anticipated.So great job, glad I chose him and would highly recommend him if you need your phone connections sorting out. Very pleasant chap too.

A faulty telephone wire in the house meant my 90 year old father was without means of communication should he need help. The earliest appointment Virginmedia could offer was 2 weeks away so I looked on Google and found Paul. He told me what the cost would be to run a new cable into the house and then came out the next day to do the work. The cost was very reasonable and the work neat. Paul himself is a very professional, pleasant person and was happy to wear a mask indoors for Covid-19 safety. It was a great relief to have the phone fixed and I would certainly recommend Paul to others. He's a locksmith too!

Having had two visits from BT engineers, neither could solve the problem, I found Paul on Google, phoned him and despite being stuck on the M6 due to an accident he arrived early evening. Within a couple of minutes he had found and repaired the fault. Truly an amazing service, I would definitely recommend him.
