I am a local and I go to play basketball there quite often and I love it. One day I was approached by a friendly elderly gentleman who lives right next to the park and he asked me if it's possible to play basketball without bouncing the ball so much.He told me that in Summer he sits in his garden and the constant ball bouncing is like torture. He said normally a group of youths play there and bounce the ball a lot and it drives him insane. He said that when the Council decided to erect the basketball court it did consult with the neighbours and they agreed because they did not know how it was going to be once the court was erected. I empathised with him and told him that unfortunately bouncing the ball is part of the game and in in fact it would be so boring to play basketball without bouncing the ball. He understood, I think.
