It's just too good to be true! As a Taiwanese, the taste of Taiwan is just over here! I have been to this restaurant a couple of times, the quality keeps going better and better. We tried Beef Noodle Soup (紅燒牛肉麵) and Short Rib Meal (醬燒牛肋飯) this time, the problem with it is we always ending up too full! Remember to order Fried Popcorn Chicken (酥炸鹹酥雞), either take away or adding to your order, truly recommend!FYI, my next visit will order Oyster Omelette (蚵仔煎), typical night market food. :D

First time trying this Taiwanese place after visiting numerous other places at BB.I heard that the beef noodle soup was terrific. I ordered that with a couple of bau.First the lady was polite. I asked about the offer that was advertised for 20% off a ‘main and side’. The soup was listed up there with all the mains but somehow didn’t qualify for the promo. I found this odd but carried on to order. In my opinion this was misleading. As far as the food goes, the soup wasn’t immediately good to look at with a scattering of boiled looking carrot pieces but it was decent although quite sweet for my taste. Others I’ve tried in Taiwan and around I don’t recall being at all sweet. The ‘Taiwanese’ pork bau and roast beef bau were good, although again the pork was too sweet for my liking. But I think these were overall quite tasty with freshness of coriander etc.Overall good, but I didn’t leave as excited as I hoped I would. I think I might give it another go, although may be tempted to try another option next time.

Ordered popcorn chicken and taiwanese sausage from here - tastes ok but portions are very small and not worth it for the price compared to quantity at some other stalls. The menu is more expensive than on the food hall website and I mistakenly thought I had been overcharged.

Very authentic Taiwanese cuisineTheir beef noodle soup tasted fantastic with great seasoning but the beef chunks were a bit smallHowever, the popcorn chicken meal with rice is highly recommendedThey are crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside!

I always get the popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup when I am here. So so so good! Although it’s in a food court, I’d travel all the way here just to have it. The quality is better than any other popcorn chicken or beef noodle soup elsewhere in London.

I frequent bang bang often. The portion sizes here are incredibly small. The beef noodle soup was disappointing and there are other stalls here which offer better value for money. Avoid this place.

The tofu bao was bland and had a slimy, jelly like coating which was not crispy meaning that it fell apart. The spring onion pancake had good flavour but was very greasy compared to the Korean restaurant opposite.

I don't really like Bang Bang. Westernised Asian food. But when you suddenly need something to eat (just didn't have time to cook), there's not much choice in the area. I ordered from Formosa (on Uber) hoping for something good, but expecting something rubbish. Let me say, I was taken back by how good the food is here. Tastes authentic and some of the best Taiwanese food I've had. The portion size is just right. The quality of ingredients are brilliant. Frankly The Formosa shouldn't be in Bang Bang. They should be a standalone restaurant as they are head and shoulders above the other stalls here. The three cup chicken was great. The ginger chicken soup in particular was brilliant. Deep fried chicken steak, awesome. The Pak choi, excellent. I think the Panna cotta bubble tea dessert could be stronger flavoured though but I dont think that's fair for me to say - it's not like this is a traditional Taiwanese dessert. I'll definitely order again and look to dine in too. Very happy

Nice tasty food. The pork bao was very good. One of the best bao for sure! Excellent fried chicken! So was the three cup chicken….very tasty. The chicken curry is so nice, home cooked taste, very subtle and moorish. The only disappointment was the beef soup. The beef was definitely not fresh at all. Had a funny taste and horrible texture. The soup broth was actually good. Nice herbal flavours. Shame the beef meat was a bit old. (So giving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Or it was definitely a five star experience. Had ordered it on ubereats…..the delivery time was quick. The food packaging was excellent too. Also do try the oyster omelette. Not bad. Overall seems like nice place. They just got to be careful of not serving old/ not fresh food….

Excellent food!We recently found out about Bang Bang and we’re able to try T.H.E Formosa and we’re delighted at how good it was. We had the popcorn chicken, bao, and pak choi. The chicken was perfect - it was crispy and succulent and so tasty. The bao was just as delicious as was the steamed pak choi. The pak choi in particular was fantastic. It had a lovely smoky flavour and came with a lovely dressing. There’s lots to choose from at Bang Bang but T.H.E Formosa is definitely my favourite!
