We've not actually used Nick for training as yet but have had our 'meet and greet' appointment with him. As soon as he walked through the door we just knew we are onto a winner here. Exceptionally nice man who obviously knows his stuff. Aiya was so excited to meet him but within minutes he appeared to have her behaving just how he wanted. All with simple words and a calm reassuring voice. We're so looking forward to booking our first appointment for one to one training ( January is pretty full and times available don't suit us). Watch this space for an update...

We had a great experience with Nick and the walk and train package, our dog has made major progress in curbing his leash reactivity, pulling and improving recall. I would highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for a force free trainer.

Nick has been fantastic with our border collie.Informative and easily explained training exercises to help curb our pups over abundance of energy!Nick is friendly and approachable, with a great calm demeanor that sets our dog and us at ease in every session.Clear communication and homework documents help us plan for our next session with him with confidence.I'd personally recommend him to anyone I talked to about dog training.

New to Dalkeith and have been looking for a dog walker to handle my big 50kg German Shepard who also pulls the lead badly.I need to say i am so glad to find Nick. My boy does training walk with Nick and He is very patience with him. He knows how to handle him, knows his personality. Also, he recommends me to join one session with him to show me how to train my boy. It was a great success and i am now a proud mum.It worth every penny if your dog has the same problem. I am sure Nick is more than happy to help.

Having only done one training session so far we can already see progress with Wookie, who is reactive with other dogs since he was nipped at around 6 months. Nick obviously loves and understands dogs and encourages the dogs to be themselves... no robot dogs here. I am looking forward to seeing further improvement as we continue with our sessions. It has been fun too!

Had a FREE consultation with Nick regarding my extremely nervous anxious and reactive 11 month cockapoo. Nick was so patient with the barking he didn't even bat an eyelid and the barking continued for just about the whole hour! Nick is very knowledgeable about all breads and types of dog and he really helped me understand why my doggo is the way he is. I love the fact that at the end of the FREE consultation there is no hard sell or commitment to sign up for any of his training packages. Trust me though after the consultation and getting to know Nick you will definitely book training with him! I certainly did!!

Nick is super friendly and so easy to talk to. He helped massively with my spaniel’s recall, giving lots of great tips and also shared some focus games to get your dog’s attention on you for training but also make it fun for the both of you. Would definitely recommend.

Nick is great! He has given us the knowledge and tips to manage our reactive labrador Tam. Nick knows and clearly loves dogs! Our boy loves nick too and we can now take him out without stressing about meeting other dogs, Tam is more confident, walks well on the lead, is less reactive and his recall has massively improved. I would highly recommend nicks service and its great value for money. We still have work to do but now we know how, thanks nick

Nick has been incredible with my dogs, I very recently rescued a Dutch herder and the first person I reached out to was Nick. His love and passion for what he does is beyond anything I’ve seen, extremely supportive and he has always been there whenever I’ve had questions. I would highly recommend esk valley dog training to anyone who needed help or advice!

Nick is helping us with our boy who is dog reactive. It's been incredibly interesting, we learn something new every session & in such a short space of time seeing improvement. Our confidence is growing on how to deal with stressful situations calmly & effectively. We might need to work on trying to stay calm as he's so excited when his new favourite person arrives for his training session!
