Boots

It's a big store. The weird thing is that I simply couldn't find the dental care area, although I walked around for about 29 minutes. I asked a shop assistant who said she was busy but that she'd come back in 2 minutes. I waited for quite a while and went to Superdrug, which is close by. Whily looking at gift sets, my wife commented that there were no prices. I had to point out that the prices ARE there but in a tiny font. Not impressed.

Love this place. You get suncream, drugstore makeup,premium skincare, branded makeup and even kids clothing, baby toilet accessories, nappies. When you start feeling hungry after shopping for a long time you can grabthe meal deals for a quick lunch as well.

Used the pharmacy! Always very busy, but the staff are always courteous and helpful

I visited the no.7 makeup counter in Boots Craigleith, and asked if they could match my skin to a foundation. That part was fine.I got home and my face started to itch quite a lot, so I decided to return the foundation I had bought (unopened). It was handier for me to pop into Boots at The Gyle a couple of days later. This is where the 2 star rating comes in.I approached the main checkout and was immediately told to go to the No.7 counter because as it says on the back of my receipt I can't return make up. First of all, who looks at that? Anyway I said OK, I had a reaction. Then she says she can refund me. So I hand the foundation to her and she goes to open it. I said 'it's unopened' -again and am made to explain the scenario again. Then she says it was on a 3 for 2 so she can only refund me £1 and that I would be better picking some other items for an exchange to that value.so I pick up some stuff that I know I'm not allergic to, like shower gels etc, random stuff, and go back to her. 'oh you didn't pick another No.7 item?' no, like I said I don't think I can wear no.7 foundation...'but your other no.7 items are OK are they?' First of all. why was she challenging me at all? she did not say, you need to pick another no.7 product. Customer service was snippy at best. I don't need to be hassled like this on my day off.

Good stock. Store is well-laid out. I found what I needed.Negative-no choice to pay except self-serve. Not fair to staff as I feel I am taking someone's job.Also, no discount for doing the work myself

Found what we wanted but the most horrible service, waited at no7 counter while the staff member faffed about then spoke to another staff member before serving us with barely a word and certainly no smile. Were made to feel we were a nuisance and should have gone to a self-service till, but my mother is 88 and prefers to get human service surely not to much to ask

Large store well spaced out. Lots of Xmas items 3 for 2 . Depends on what you're looking for.

Self Serve Only available, took around 10 minutes to complete purchases.Should have had someone on Till to reduce queue.

Clean and tidy as usual. Lot of products for men and women. Many times you can find good deals and promotions. Huge perfumes section. The staff is generally helpful and kind. The only issue is the waiting time at the pharmacy for prescriptions and that's the reason for 4 stars on 5.

Good range of products in this larger outlet. Usual multiple cosmetic and perfume concessions. Large selection of pharmaceutical products to treat all ailments. As well as health related electrical, kids clothing and toys. Descent range of christmas holiday multi pack toiletries, some on 3 for 2 deals.Our only problem was asking for previous Boots loyalty points from a previous purchase. Needs to be done by a supervisor and only 1 on duty, added 6-7 mins at the tills. Final thing is they insist on making checkout staff stand for their whole shift. Give them a break Boots Mgt. Customers don't care if they are sitting.
