I was delighted with the level 3 RICS building survey which was done 2 days ago on a house I am planning to purchase.The surveyor was extremely pleasant to deal with, and very efficient and did absolutely everything I asked and all on time. He was easy to talk to and happy to explain everything without jargon.He called me straight after the survey to give me a very good idea of the main findings before writing his full report so I didn't have to wait and worry about what might have been found for long!The report was sent later that evening and included lots of extremely helpful photographs.I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them.Note I have no conflict of interest as I only found this surveyor after a Google search for RICS accredited companies in the area.

Gerard provided a first class service for us. The quote for the survey was in line with expectations (and cheaper than some other quotes) and the survey itself was suitably detailed and covered more than we would have expected. He also provided the final report much quicker than anticipated and offered a follow up call to discuss the findings. Where Gerard really stepped up was around his flexibility on timings; our survey was due to be completed as we were entering the second lockdown. He took it upon himself to speak with the vendors to bring forward the survey date, confirming he was able to undertake the work before the uncertainty of lockdown started again. He ensured we were in a position to progress with our purchase during lockdown, which was a huge relief.

Contacted NFS to get a full survey on our proposed house purchase. Gerard was friendly, helpful, and able to carry out the inspection in a timely manner. On the day of the inspection I received a phone call to tell me how it had gone (well, thankfully!) and within 24 hrs had the full, detailed report. Overall, excellent service at a very reasonable price. Well worth it for the extra peace of mind. Thank-you Gerard.

We contacted New Forest Surveying to ask them to undertake a level 3 RICS building survey on a residential property. NFS were prompt to reply to emails before and after the appointment. They were our top choice of surveyor after having supplied us with a good quote, great reviews and an example report that we could read. The report was thorough, yet easy to read and digest. In addition, Gerard supplied a separate document to explain a certain aspect of the report and offered to speak with us further if we had any questions or queries - despite the housing market being extremely busy at this time! We are extremely happy with the service we have received from NFS.

Gerard has just saved us making a huge expensive mistake. After a full and comprehensive well priced level 3 survey on a property that was riddled with damp, as well as various other major defects we elected to withdraw from the purchase. Gerard's complete report including detailed pictures uncovered at least £50k of additional unbudgeted work needing to be done. Gerard was happy to spend time discussing the report on the phone afterwards to allow us to make a decision. Superb organisation in getting the survey arranged in the first place. Gerard provided a quote quickly which was more than reasonable and booked in the job quickly to do the building survey on the house we are buying.
