Hawick Golf Club

Had a lovely dinner for my mums 90th birthday and my uncles 87th. Food was excellent served by lovely staff.

A group of 8 booked a round and buggies, paid in advance. We had stayed overnight in Denholm having played a round at Minto on the previous day.The weather wasn’t great so we phoned the club to enquire if it was open but no one picked up. When we arrived for our 10-30 tee the buggies were locked away and clubhouse closed until 12 pm. The buggies were required as the course is hilly and the players abilities, so we decided that we were unable to play. The group organisers emailed and phoned the club, however they did not respond, which unfortunately shows a distinct lack of respect. It is our opinion that the only resolution would be a total refund.It is hoped that the club secretary will make some form of contact.

Played Hawick today. When I saw the course from the road in I thought OMG, but we we're very pleasantly surprised. The course is in very good condition considering the weather lately and we really enjoyed it. Ate in the clubhouse after, food was very good and the staff were lovely. We would definitely GI back.

Our society travels some 60 miles to this course whenever possible as it is without doubt one of the most testing and unusual in the region. Every hole is unique , it is in excellent condition (weather permitting) and we have enjoyed ourselves immensely over the years. The clubhouse is very welcoming the food and drink are great value. As ever we look forward to our next visit.

Great day at Hawick golf club. Bit hard work and challenging golf playing of the side of what seems a mountain, but the views are amazing. Nice and friendly from the house people and food very good. Worth a visit but book a buggy.

Have played Hawick many times over the past thirty years and it has always been a pleasure to play. Its a tough course built into the rising uplands with many an interesting hole. Though not overly long its a hard physical test with many holes upwards and winding into the hillside. A pleasant clubhouse, well worth playing, one of my long term favourites as a touring party to the Borders since 1992.

Beautiful course built on a hill. It was in superb condition and weather was perfect the day we played. Most holes play across the hills so not too bad on the legs but will say thers some steep climbs from greens to next tee boxes but the views are fantastic so cant wait to come back soon. Club house was very friendly
