Gleeson Homes (Head Office)

I reserved my plot in September for my house to be ready in March. So far, I have been delighted with the progress and the staff in the sales office. I requested a quote for the turf which was sent within 2 days. I also asked for the garden dimensions which were emailed within an hour! Great service Gleeson Homes!!

Totally inconsiderate company who don't care about local residents when making a profit. They have just built some properties opposite to mine. I have just received a reply by email to my written complaint about their conduct and the way they have interfered with the water supply causing dirty water and the supply to go off on numerous occasions. What I got back was disgusting. The reply was patronising and full of sarcasm. There was no apology or anything, just a total fob off. They even blamed Yorkshire Water when it was Gleeson who caused the problems. I'm glad they have finished building opposite me. I will be talking this to director level.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. No one has a clue what is happening with regards to our new build home. We reserved in November 2017 and given an estimate move in date of April 2018 it is now September 2018 and they still haven't given us an exact move in date. They don't want to take responsibility for the delays in the house which includes a three month wait as they could not get a joiner for the site. Their customer service is appalling if my partner didn't love the house I would have walked away long ago. Be warned they do not care at all they just want your money. I wouldn't recommend Gleeson's to my worst enemy

Can't fault the staff involved in selling our house but I can fault the staff who won't take responsibility for the damage they have caused to my car. An unfinished road caused my bumper to scrape over it and Gleeson are saying unless I can prove it happened there they won't take responsibility. Basically calling me a liar and not owning up to what they've done wrong. Wouldn't ever buy from these again. They get your money then don't give a flying ... Be very careful with this company.

Absolutely awful company to deal with. They are not interest in anything other that making a profit from houses that are built using shoddy craftsmanship and shoddy skill. Absolutely disgusting attitude towards buyers who have had issues and have requested that they be corrected. I have ended up having to have solicitors involved on numerous occasions regarding defects in and around the house including subsidence and electrical issues, some of which arose due to numerous leaks under, sinks, shower trays and toilets! Overall, disgusting.

Absolutely appalling customer service.We paid cash for a house Dec 2021 and have reported issued both verbally and through the portal and the jobs are marked as completed and no one has even called. Cannot get through to Gleesons and if you send them ema they do not reply regarding your issues you just get a generic reply.

Bought my house from them 2021 absolutely devastated with all the issues including having to move out for 6 month for the house to be repaired due to drains flooding my home. Terrible after care. Took over 12 months to admit there was a problem until the final flood in which I lost most of my possessions. Don't buy Gleeson houses in my opinion not worth the stress.

We have been fobbed off every week since March and our patience is starting to run out. What should have been an exciting time is now turning into our worst nightmare. We have had our furniture in storage since February and have had to live separately thinking it was only going to be for a couple of weeks. We have had to move back in with our parents. If this company had been honest with us we could have rented somewhere but instead every single week we get told it’s going to be next week. They have now been saying this for 4 months. How can people get away with this. They take our money and then there’s nothing we can do to get out of this.

Absolutely disgusting. If I could give no stars I would. I have had nothing but a negative experience with Gleeson Homes and would not recommend anyone buys a house built by them. Our house was left in an unfinished and unprofessional condition and because we complained about it, Gleeson took it upon themselves to withdraw their Customer Care service, leaving us battling with them through third parties for even the smallest thing that should not have even been an issue in the first place if done by professional builders. Their Customer Service is appalling, and I can't quite believe they are still in business. We received unprofessional language and threats from a 'sales manager' by being told to grow-up" and

We moved into our new house at end of November since we moved in none of staff seem to care anymore once the sale of house went through and keys where handed over they don't care. Most of the snagging which tbh is just very bad workmanship still needs sorting but if they didn't fit damaged worktops and kitchen cabinets to start with then they wouldn't have to replace them. Overall just a really bad experience all together plus road constantly full of sludge and mud because road never gets sept like we said it would be.
