Slumdog Delivered - Little Kings' Street Edinburgh - St.James Quarter

Just had a fantastic chana masala rice bowl from here. Absolutely what I needed on a cold, soggy evening! Food was fast, hot and tasted great. They also mark allergens on the menu (they do have GF options).

The food was restaurant quality but with takeaway prices, we were so impressed. We shared Pani puri which the server (Jaspal?) kindly explained to us the best way to eat them with the mint water and eat in one mouthful, they were unlike anything we've tried before, beautifully presented, and we devoured them, so fresh and tasty.  We then shared butter chicken with rice which was equally delicious, piping hot, lovely and creamy, richly spiced, a generous portion and just perfection in every mouthful.  Even though the weather was freezing cold we sat on the tables at the side and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it was great to find somewhere affordable to eat in the centre of Edinburgh, and served with a smile. We're looking forward to going back and we're going to make sure we're hungry enough to try lots of dishes.
